Haven’t seen anyone condone but have seen it condemned.I wonder if Dems will condemn this but condone what Tucker Carlson is going through.

I think it does actually, but not in the suggested direction. Assuming the majority demographic also has the majority of influence, they should take more responsibility for the direction of the nation. Hence poor decision-making or avoidance of responsibility can make that group disproportionately threatening to the nation's continued existence. The fact that whites are a majority does not change anything about his statement at all. That's just a deflection from the reality of the situation.
Makes senseIf not him it's @Seaside
You have such tunnel vision when it comes to race. No where did I say anything about anyone deserving anything.
I didn't actually blame Lemon, though I think without his retarded, racist comment, this wouldn't have happened in the first place. I was calling you out for your delayed, selective outrage. Why are you not outraged at Lemon's obviously inappropriate comment, as well as the white racist who threatened him?
Clearly the answer is more phones and or thoughts and prayers
Who else was gonna tell him that we're tired of all his gay, socialist and communist propaganda.
Hang in there nac.See, you (and most of the rest of these sherdog guys) don't pay any attention to anybody who is not hard right or hard left, so I've pretty much given up on expecting any sort of nuance regarding anything I post.
I did criticize Don Lemon for his comments several days ago. I said they were inappropriate and divisive, and that he was just trying to get attention. I predicted he'd eventually be fired and move to MSNBC. I was very clear.
Then as the pages went on and on, Lemon was now becoming a "bigot" and a "racist" who "hated" white people. The memes started being made, changing his quote to something worse than it was. Basically, the exaggerations piled up as usual, as you guys took a comment that deserved honest criticism and turned it into a big joke with your hyperbole. The criticism was no longer honest, it was childish nonsense.
Soon I had to go from criticizing him, to saying, "But hey, that's not actually what he said. Now you are all going too far with the hyperbole."
Of course then it became, "Da librul is defending Don Lemon!!"
It's like dealing with children. Seriously. Looking at things with any honesty on here is certain to get you attacked by an army of adult children with yellow cards. So I'm not really concerned about that part of it, because I have serious doubts about their mental and emotional intelligence as it is.
I showed the appropriate amount of distaste for Don's comment. But his comment was not a death threat (40 death threats) and asking for somebody's dead body to hang from a tree. It was nothing remotely close to that.
I lean conservative on a lot of issues so I disagree with a number of your opinions, but you're one of my favorite posters because of how reasonable and thoughtful your posts are.See, you (and most of the rest of these sherdog guys) don't pay any attention to anybody who is not hard right or hard left, so I've pretty much given up on expecting any sort of nuance regarding anything I post.

With that said, I've 'liked' a post with that meme in it. No, it's not a direct quote but it's a fairly humorous juxtaposition nonetheless. Would I prefer that it wasn't slightly reworded? Of course. It's unnecessarily exaggerated, but that doesn't take away from the point of the meme, imo.
I 100% agree with the bolded part. I don't doubt the quote was altered for that exact reason, which is a problem. Knowing what the actual quote was I still found the meme funny, but I can absolutely understand how many people would read it and think it was a direct quote. People tend to not look into things past what they see in a small clip or meme, and that gets exploited very often. The issue I have with altering quotes for the sake of humor, is that most people have no idea what the real quote is. So a few people have a laugh as the humorous juxtaposition created, while a whole bunch of other people simply believe that is the actual quote and call the guy a white hating bigot. That's how you get these crazies who send death threats and say they want the guy lynched. Most of these crazies are lurking on the Internet, soaking up all this hate and propaganda, until it boils over like it did with that guy who sent all those bombs a few weeks ago.
My concern is not with people like you having a laugh, my concern is with the huge group of people who really do not understand the difference between humor and reality. That appears to be the majority of people, to be honest. People quote memes as fact on here every day, or they repeat things they heard on memes. Those people are the reason we can't have nice things (so to speak).
For the record, I lean conservative on some things too. I voted Republican the last two elections in Maryland. People are called "liberal" on here for all sorts of reasons that are not actually related to any policy.
