TUF 25 to be Full of Previous TUF Competitors

Why don't they do heavyweights again? That was the last season that was truly memorable. I mean they've done 25 seasons and only one just heavyweights. The HW division is badly hurting, one of the weaker divisions, full of aging fighters, Say what you want about the fights, but atleast it made for exciting TV and yielded quite a few big name fighters with Schaub, Mitrione, Nelson and Kimbo (but he was big before).

So slightly less than mediocre TUF WW's that couldn't beat mediocre TUF WW's will battle it out?

Dhiego Lima pretty much gets KO'd on the regular now. He was just KO'd. I Imagine he cant fight for a few months. So his last fight before TUF 25 would be a ko loss. He was destroyed and KTFO in the TUF Finale by Eddie Gordon who quickly flamed out of the UFC a few fights after winning that TUF.

Unless Junie Browning and that guy who was supposed to fight in the finals but ended up acting like an asshole in the Casino's in Vegas(JT$ maybe?) are involved this is destined to fail....

Q: How to make a shitty TV show even shittier?
A: Take some shitty fighters who showcased their shitty fighting skills in a previous shitty edition of this very same shitty TV show.

But yeah, this will probably be shitty.

This could be a "so bad, it's good" season.
I'm leaning more towards so bad it gets TUF canceled.

TUF produces very few elite guys especially more so as the UFC has expanded because there getting them on the UFC without the show there's obviously exceptions but taking the rejects who couldn't make the first cut is a terrible idea imo the fights on the show might be entertaining but I doubt anyone will go on to accomplish anything

Why in the hell do people keep saying Dhiego Lima just got KO'd? That was over a year and a half ago, and he's won his last 2 fights. Not the I care to watch him again, but he didn't just get KO'd, you bints. Somehow steal his brother from Bellator and then you have a start to something worthwhile.

This is such a bad idea that they have to have something to go along with it. Loser gets molested by a gorilla or something.

Break out War Machine and sign him up!

Nothing says "This season is completely skippable" like having a bunch of guys who couldn't even keep their roster spot in a division that is permanently bloated

^^^ The rumoured cast. this would be funny as hell - Junie Browning & Julian Lane would definately fight in the house. Also with Jesse Taylor, Jamie Yager etc in the house, could be fireworks.

As for the actual season, Zak Cummings would be my favourite to win, with Gerald Harris, Hayder Hassan, Gilbert Smith & Eddie Gordon also in the mix.

I can't wait for this season. That's one awesome cast.

Only thing that confused me was James Krause.

He's won his last two UFC fights and was suppose to fight Pearson last month (why would they demote him to TUF when he's under contract ?)

There's never been a two-time TUF winner, so at least there's that to keep an eye on if Stevenson or Gordon are part of the cast.

Why the hell would Zak Cummings, James Krause and Kajan Johnson go on this season of TUF? Those guys are all currently UFC fighters with winning UFC records.

But whatever, I hope it's true. This would be the first season I'd tune into in years.

Good cast 4 drama and name recognition. Not great for skill but not that bad either. I pretty much agree with your picks although i may pick harris over cummings.

Johnny Nunez (6-1, 0-0 UFC - Season 22) -- Arguably belongs in UFC already. He had an absolute war with Teymur in the house, and his loss to Condon was a fluke.

Dominic Waters (9-5, 0-3 UFC - Season 16) -- No business near the UFC.

Jesse Taylor (30-15, 0-1 UFC - Season 7) -- His time is over.

Joe Stevenson (33-16, 8-8 UFC - Season 2) -- His time is over for a while.

Gilbert Smith (12-6, 0-1 UFC - Season 17) -- Gatekeeper wrestler who will never be a contender.

Julian Lane (11-6-1, 0-0 UFC - Season 16) -- WTF

Eddie Gordon (8-4, 1-3 UFC - Season 19) -- Weakest TUF winner ever from domestic TUF imo. Not UFC level.

Dhiego Lima (10-4, 1-3 UFC - Season 19) -- Fringe UFC material, but nowhere near contender status.

Kajan Johnson (21-12-1, 2-1 UFC - TUF Nations) -- Uhh what? Johnson is on a 2 fight UFC win streak right now. And they're sending him back to TUF?

James Krause (23-7, 4-3 UFC - Season 15) -- Another guy on a 2 fight win streak. WTF.

Zak Cummings (20-5, 5-2 UFC - Season 17) -- Easily the best guy on the cast. On TUF off a win over Yakovlev. Are they kidding?

Mehdi Baghdad (11-5, 0-2 UFC - Season 22) -- Fringe UFC level. Nowhere near a contender.

Gerald Harris (23-5, 3-1 UFC - Season 7) -- Still one of the strangest cuts in UFC history.

Justin Edwards (8-5, 2-5 UFC - Season 13) -- Fringe UFC level.

Seth Baczynski (19-14, 5-6 UFC - Season 11) -- Crazy career for Seth. Can beat a lot of guys in the UFC.

Mike Ricci (11-5, 1-2 UFC - Season 16) -- Never should have been cut.

Jamie Yager (7-4, 0-0 UFC - Season 11) -- Doesn't belong anywhere near the UFC.

Hector Cervantes (Urbina) (17-10-1, 1-2 UFC - Season 19) -- Fringe UFC level.

Eddy Ellis (21-16, 0-0 UFC - Season 16) -- Travesty the UFC never signed him post TUF 16, despite winning fight of the season.

Junie Browning (4-6, 1-1 UFC - Season 8) -- WTF

Ramsey Nijem (9-6, 4-4 UFC - Season 13) -- Never should have been cut. 100% belongs in the UFC.

Hayder Hassan (6-3, 0-2 UFC - Season 21) -- Fringe UFC level.

Tom Gallicchio (19-9, 0-0 UFC - Season 22) -- Fringe UFC level.

edit, I note the list is off, since Yager is certainly 0-1 in the UFC.
