Tito Ortiz vs Dan Henderson - Who would have won?

Tito would try to blanket Hendo the entire fight but if it's 5 rounds I have to think Hendo cracks him at some point and then it's all over. Tito had a great chin but Hendo had the power to TKO him
 
Tito. dan might be able to take a round, but I'd anticipate Tito smothering him for most of the fight.
 
Hendo hit his stride at a late age.

I think Tito wins back in the day, but Hendo got that old man strength in his late 30s, I would pick that version of Hendo to beat Tito

Dan would have flat-lined Ortiz and Sheraldo Babalu would agree.
 
This would have been an awesome match-up. Could Tito get the takedown and unleash ground and pound or Hendo land that H-Bomb.... Hard to pick but I think Hendo had more skills.

Tito would have NEVER agreed to fight Hendo. He would have claimed they were good friends.

I love Hendo, but this is a terrible matchup for him.

Hendo was one of the worst big-name MMA wrestlers at preventing takedowns. Almost everyone took Hendo down. Even BBJ specialists like Murilo Bustamante took Hendo down (four times in their second fight). Even little Yuki Kondo took Hendo down four times. Even the Japanese sprite Shungo Oyama, who had no business being in the same ring with Hendo, took the American down one time.

On the other hand, Tito, in his prime, was one of the best fighters in MMA at taking people down and controlling them.

Just a bad matchup for Hendo.
 
Tito is a nightmare match up for Dan. Dan doesn't have the best TDD. Even TRT Dan gets decisioned or TKOd. TRT less Dan would get finished by anything Tito wants.

A better fight would be TRT Dan vs Chuck. Now thats a toss up for id favor PED Henderson.

Dan's grappling just sucks. He was helpless against Shogun, Shields, DC, Arona, Nogs etc. I don't see him doing good against Tito. He looked horrible in his grappling matches vs Jones and Frank Shamrock too.
 
People here who are comparing Hendo versus Tito to Liddell versus Tito just don't get it.

Liddell owned Tito because Tito could never get Chuck down. Almost no one could get Liddell down

But Hendo got taken down by nearly everyone he fought.
 
Tito wins the first round with his super wrestling, and Hendos questionable TED. But Hendo would figure him out and starch him with an H-Bomb, late 2nd/early 3rd rd
 
Back in the day? Probably Tito. Tito was a LOT bigger and stronger, and "Hollywood Hendo" didn't have the H Bomb yet. So back when Tito was still a scary dude, he'd probably take it. It feels weird to even say that. I know. But I speak truth.

Oh, plus Tito used to take most people down, and Hendo wasn't so good off his back. Tito would muscle him down and stay in half guard raining down elbows and chip away at Dan.
 
I'd lean towards Hendo winning the fight. I always wanted to see Tito vs. Franklin.
 
Dan is a better overall fighter, but Tito is massive. He has so much size weight and reach advantage it would be hard for Dan to overcome that.
