Now that weidman has been exposed you people must accept anderson fluke

Absolutely mental the way people try & pretend like Weidman beat Anderson into the dirt or something. He lost via ridiculous showboating & a freak broken leg. Now, that's not Weidman's fault, but you cant ignore that that's what happened.

You also can't ignore that Weidman was handily winning both of the matches prior to the finish, especially the second fight.

Those wins were sort of flukey. Even Chris alluded to that in a few interviews.

I watched them not long ago. In the first one, before the knockout, Chris's takedowns had lost all their strength. He was gassing hard.

In the second fight, Chris was ahead at first, but before the leg kick Silva had started to take over.

Anderson Silva is a complete fraud. Even if he wasn't on steroids his entire career, he still fought mostly weak competition. Weidman is the greatest fighter he ever faced and he got exposed badly... twice.

He was also fighting in a smaller weight class than he should've been. If silva was any kind of GOAT he'd have joined the much stronger Light Heavyweight division at that time. That was a weight class where everyone was his own size. But he dodged it like the plague. The 3 times he fought 205lbers he picked guys who were tailor made for his style.

At no point in Silva's career would he make the top 3 of todays middleweight division.
Trt Vitor >>>>Weidman.

It was strategy and he did it every fight. He was even talking to Weidman telling him not to wrestle, "to give the fans a show."

Lol no. Anderson lost everywhere the fight went, twice. Oh but if things were different, they would have been different.

Anderson is boss andalways will be, A.$ilvas carreer is G.O.A.T.

Deal with it.

No, he got old and slow.
Other guys dealt with old Anderson and proved that Weidman isn't that special.

Keep telling yourself that.

He only let Weidman and Bonnar have free punches like that. Bonnar could have KO'd him too while he stood there using that thing you call a "strategy".
He didn't ever take it that far with anyone else in the UFC

He would have NEVER done what he did against those two against Vitor or Hendo.

Weidman could be a tall striker if he wanted to. Anderson couldn't get through him.

Red Widebody & Blue wrecked him Round 1 and he had to resort to fetal position JDS leg kicks.

He telling yourself that. Vitor isn't known for take downs. And back then Hendo at 185 always gassed after round 1, see the Jake Shields fight (dominated first round, got laid on for 4 rounds after that putting up no fight whatsoever).

Oh, because gassed Weidman was going to get any more TD's after R1? No...

Anderson is easily the GOAT MW... but those wins weren't flukes (even if both were a little odd, in their own way).

That simply wasn't the best Anderson. Top fighters get old and get beaten by young guns. That's what happens. Sometimes the young gun that beats the aging top fighter turns out to be the new top fighter. Often he doesn't.

Is normal.

Chris dominated and destroyed Andy twice, is normal.

People were wishing for a Weidman style fighter to challenge Anderson Silva for his entire UFC career

For the most part he had stylistic favourable conditions in the MW division during his run:

A) one dimensional BJJ guys with zero striking and barely any takedown threat: (green & small Maia, Leites, Lutter)
B) Brawlers: Cote, Leben, Irvin
C) Jack-of-all-trades, but not elite, solid fighters (but no danger): Marquardt, Okami
D) one dimensional wrestlers with limited striking and poor sub defense: Sonnen
E) Great/successful fighters, but coming off losses or other layoffs (Hendo off a loss at MW and loss at LHW, Vitor, after 18 months layoff, Forrest, off a loss)

Andy in many ways was fortunate not to have a Chris type fighter in the division for many years, that's why people were so intrigued by the style match up even though Chris had only 9 fights to his name.

That the truth. Nonetheless Andy IS the MW GOAT (assuming you don't discount him for PED use) and provided us an awesome highlight reel. Without smashing the kool aid that Zuffa forced down everyone's throat, he's a great, but not THE BEST EVAR!1 etc.

Although I agree Anderson's prime ended a little earlier than Weidman, it wasn't the best Anderson ever, I still reckon Weidman would be favoured to beat any version of Anderson, even at his 'prime' which would probably have been between Forrest and Sonnen 2 IMO

Retarded post. Now that Anderson has lost to Daniel Cormier and Michael Bisping, and won narrow decisions versus Nick Diaz and Derek Brunson, you all must accept that Anderson's win over Vitor Belfort was a fluke.
