Looks like the black and white "there has to be a better way!" portion of the infomercial.
But to be fair I've heard other people say it's not very good as well.
Jeff Bakalar and Dan Ryckert both said it felt flimsy and not very good. Can't say I'm too bothered, as I don't really see myself using it propped up on that thing ever.

Actually, Bakalar is with CNET, so he might in fact be the genius behind that video right there.
I keep forgetting the guy exists outside of the giant bomb east coast podcast.

I would add pokken and wonderful 101 to that list as well. Also gonna get color splash soon but I have no idea if it's good So I won't put it on that list. Not to mention the VC downloads. It's awesome playing old games on the Wii U pad.

I've said if many times I have a Wii U and PS4 and my Wii U gets played 90% of the time when I want to play something.

Was one the Amazon and best buy waiting list since day one and didn't even get one notice that the game was available again for preorder.

Nintendo is playing a dangerous game. This artificial scarcity could backfire. I want one so bad and will get one the first opportunity I can... That is until I totally forget about it when the new Mass effect comes out.

The video was dumb, but it does bring up a valid point. It doesn't look like it takes much to knock it over. So if you're on a train, plane, or anything else bumpy it might get frustrating. Why didn't they add another stand? It would have made it much more stable.

I am more worried about the joy con disconnecting issues. Hoping it's a simple firmware fix.

Yeah I think the joycon is the major concern now. Was this stuff not put through testing beforehand? The controller randomly disconnecting all the time is a big, big issue to have.

Yeah, the disconnecting is concerning. I wasn't planning on buying a pro controller at launch, now I would like too but they aren't in stock anywhere for pre order. Hoping they have some on hand a Best Buy that I can just pick up with my Switch pre order.

Even if I don't get one, I'm only getting Zelda and I have a feeling that if you lose connectivity it will probably pause the game to re connect.

with 5 days to go, I've never been this lack of enthused to pick up a Nintendo console. For me, a Nintendo launch was like Christmas Day. I just keep getting an ominous feeling like I'm making a mistake, and that I'm enabling those mistakes. I want to be wrong. I want Nintendo to drop some megaton this E3 with Metroid, Eternal Darkness 2, Waverace, etc... but I keep getting the feeling Miyamoto is going to screw things up with some quirky game he came up with while sitting on the shitter. Nintendo lost so much good will over the years, not sure they can sustain an other Wii U fiasco.

I'm actually getting the same feeling. That's why i'm waiting until later (summer) to pick it up. I want to see more games announced. More 3rd party support. The Wii U had more third party support at their launch, and we see how that turned out.

You can trickle out great IP's like Mario, Yoshi, Splatton, Mario Kart....etc. But when they're so scattered and the releases become thinner and thinner that's when the lack of support becomes an issue.

I'm hoping for the best, and it looks like a nice system.....but i'm optimistically cautious.

I am as hyped as they come. Zelda is going to blow away everyone away. It's guaranteed to be GOTY or at least nominated based on the early reviews coming in. That's the biggest megaton bomb as far as I am concerned. I am literally counting down the days for it...

As for E3... I am hoping they announce Metroid. Waverace is a meh... Eternal Darkness 2??? I wish but that's probably not possible. That series is in limbo due to bad luck (one of the creators got jailed for child porn).

This feels like Christmas to me actually.. lol
