** HELP a fighter. Thank you sherdog, second time we REACH GOAL ***

The fact he reached the goal is very touching, well done Sherdog for getting together and playing a part, all the best Alek.

@Johnny.Doe thank you very much , im really thankful. I have said this many times but i just cant avoid that to say.
First of all i will apology to everyone here because i didnt respond anything but here is reason. I was in hospital and it was urgent. I went to my doctor who did surgery on right eye to check pressure , speak about treatments and all. So when we started to check pressure right eye was 10 ( Which is normal ) every single person have like this as he told me , but now , left eye have 25 . As far every single doctor explain to me normal presurre is like until 20 maximum. But its still on the line to be dangerous and damage optic nerve which cant regenerate anymore. So he immediately suggested me to go in russian clinic and see their opinion because they did surgery on that one. Of course its private clinic and when you say good afternoon you pay 10$ , bad joke but its like this. When i came there i had to check my vision , diagnoses they usually do. I noticed something is wrong with my vision because i do not see clear anymore. Pressure was high also, there is document i will upload so you can see. After that i went to their doctor for opinion and check. I explained everything that happend in past, she saw my history and here is what she told me after checking and everything. I do have high pressure in left eye without using drops now and therapy, second thing what is bad is difference between eyes, one is lower ,and the other one is high pressure which is not good. So next week Dr Romanjenko from Russia is comming to check it out, until then i have to use Azarga drops to try and make my pressure normal as much its possible. He will try to do something , its like small surgery to fix that part which is MAYBE blocked again, if not i will have to do surgery for glaucoma again. You just dont know through what im going , walking in same hell like last year. I cant believe this is happening actually again, and this is not all. She checked my retina and suggested LFC laser ( for both eyes ) as soon as possible to "repair it" . They suggested it aswell 5 months before, then i went to my doctor who suggested me one proffesor to visit. Results i show in video are from them ,which they say its not necessary to do. Again today same happend. One doctor suggest to do, and this one from my country that follows me and speak on phone every time say that they cant do it to me. Because if they still keep focusing on me doing LFC for both eyes ( which cost 300 $ ) i forgot to mention, he will call their manager to speak out about this case. I think he is trying to protect me , but still i dont know.
@LokoLoa i would like you to check from today document and give your opinion on this story. Now its glaucoma and retina vs me. Unbeliveable.

Also guys, im so happy to see not me but WE reached goal again. I am so thankful to all of you who supports me and watch this thread willing to help.
@BAM As a guy from Sherdog who is doing gofundme said he will pay fee for Western union which is good news for me and im not going to lose what is raised.
As for gofundme thing, i really didnt know they take this much %, so it take a little part from raised money and then its still missing . But every time someone donate amout rise for that site .
I told a friend who is doing this thing for me, later tonight ( 5 hours from now usually he responds to me ) he can close this thing with gofundme. If there is somebody who would like to help until then its welcome.

@Sage NorthGOAT I want to thank you also so much for being here every single day, before it was sticky bumping this thread, and now supporting . You are very kind person, and i hope your friends in real life know what they have.

@JDragon @Gettin a Whoopn @SG123 @HELMER @r0b0d0c @Johnny.Doe @HendricksGOAT @BokaBokte @Flex Plexico @Davey Crockett @kingkokong @RichyN What can i say guys, there is no words to explain , it was really hard to go trough this , try to raise something but without you and other anonymous donators it wouldnt be possible. If there is somebody i forgot to mention im very sorry. I will write all your names dont worry . I just want to say im so thankful, really.

And about @Natesblackshirt i remmber that you was on the other side but then after i recorded video you changed your opinion and apology. Its accepted really, if you still keep doing same thing like other guy i would still wish you all the best in life. But you wasnt rude like other one im not going to mention anymore. You came back with people who support me and actually did same. Thank you buddy.

So still what can i say, here is document from today i will upload. I though it will be easy battle but it will be really hard one. 2 Opponents now i have to fight. If they suggest me to go in Russia again for surgery for sure i wont have money to cover it. But it would be greedy from me to ask for more. Hope some of you understand there is not other opinion for me to raise money, and what i dont want is that i dont want anyone to say bad word about me , like asking for help. All i wish is to see this world with all beautiful colours he have to offer, continue ( half normal ) life because one eye is dead almost and the other one is on the same way if i dont treat it.

About donations , if there is still anybody who would like to help, because gofundme is using like 8% of money we actually raised and reach goal, your help is welcome.

Here is link for it :

Thank you very much.

I hope all will go well Aleks and that you can get the right treatment.
Stay Strong.

I hope you get better soon man. And find a job that wont let u hold mitts or somethibg like that. Maybe something a little safer

Wouldn't it be better/cheaper to buy a flight to the uk or something and get your eyes sorted safely, professionally and 'free' ?

Okay, let me try to unpack all of this information. There are different types of glaucoma. We used to believe that glaucoma only happened with high intraocular pressures, but this is not always the case, so there is no such thing as a “normal” pressure. Doctors usually use a rule-of-thumb that 21 mmHg is “high”. This number comes from old studies and is not always useful as a diagnostic tool. That said, the higher the pressure, the greater the likelihood of developing glaucoma. You mentioned that you once had a pressure of 50, which is extremely dangerous and will most definitely cause optic nerve damage. Some people have pressures of 25 without ever developing glaucoma, but they must be followed closely. Don’t worry about the difference between the eyes, one eye won’t affect the other one.

In your case, 25 is much too high. Since your optic nerves are already damaged, we want to get the pressures as low as possible. I haven’t seen your optic nerves, but your visual fields are consistent with severe damage. By the way, the document you posted says 16 mmHg in the right eye and 25 mmHg in the left (mmHg stands millimeters of Mercury). With severe glaucoma, I’d want to get the pressures down below 16 in your right eye too. Also, eye pressures tend to fluctuate during the day. They're usually higher in the morning. People with glaucoma often have greater fluctuations.

Azarga is a combination of a CAO inhibitor and a beta blocker (two drugs in one). It’s a suspension, so make sure you shake the bottle before putting it in your eye. Beta blockers can slow your heart rate, so also make sure you use as directed (the prescription says twice a day in the left eye) and put light pressure on your tear duct (in the corner of your eye) so the medicine doesn’t just drain into your nose. To be perfectly honest, if you were my patient, I would not let you leave the clinic until I got your pressure down well below 20. Often, gently massaging the eye will squeeze out enough fluid to drop the pressure. If Azarga didn’t work, I’d keep adding meds until your pressure was under control. Sometimes that involves oral medications. I'd also see you back the next day to make sure your pressure was stable.

About your pressure going up again. The success rate for the Ahmed valve is not 100%, but it's relatively good. I looked up a paper that said ~50% success rate after 5 years. Sometimes scar tissue will form and clog up the valve. I just read a report that said that removing the scar tissue capsule around the valve can work. That may be what Romanjenko is planning to do.

LFC treatment (whatever that is). This LFC treatment is very suspect. I’ve never heard of it, and there’s no scientific literature on it. It sounds like a money-making scam. Russians do a lot of questionable bullshit. In my experience, they often believe it works. I once sat in an auditorium at a scientific meeting where a Russian doctor was claiming 100% success with 0% adverse effects for a controversial surgery. Anyone with a brain knows that such results are impossible. I’m with your doctor on this one. He’s trying to protect you, and he’s probably pissed off at the people at the Eliksir clinic for trying to sell you snake oil. I’m starting to get pissed off at them too. I repeat that I don’t know what your retinas look like, but I’m very skeptical about this LFC “treatment”. I’m also disturbed by the fact that you received two completely different retinal diagnoses. It is not particularly unusual for doctors to disagree about rare conditions, but this needs to be followed up.

I want to get to the bottom of this, so if there’s any way you can get me photos of your retinas and optic nerves, including your fluorescein angiographies, I’ll show them to some of the top specialists on the planet.
I also would like more detail about your glaucoma. Roughly, the main types of glaucoma are: open-angle, closed-angle, and secondary. There are many sub-types and mixed types. Secondary glaucomas happen because of some other condition. The surgeon should have noted which exact type you have, so this has to be in your records somewhere. The diagnoses on the form you posted are very general. They don't really explain anything. So what I'd like you to do is get copies of all your records, not just summary notes, and get all the digital images of your eyes that you can get.

Good luck, and get back to me soon.

I have no idea of what you're talking about, but it's nice to read haha! Seems very educated! :)

@Aleksandar Stojkovic , just donated some more. Did a $60 to round up to get you to $2,400. Not much I donated, but more than last time. Wish I could just pay for the entire thing! Your story and reading @LokoLoa 's dedication just had me need to do a bit more! Good luck man!

Wouldn't it be better/cheaper to buy a flight to the uk or something and get your eyes sorted safely, professionally and 'free' ?
You seem to be getting ripped pretty badly...

I'm in the US, and I don't know how the UK system works in terms of "free" care for foreigners. That said, Moorfields Eye Hospital is one of the best regarded eye clinics in the world. This may surprise you, but the Aravind Eye Care Hospitals in India have amazing doctors and surgeons. They see more cases and do more surgeries than anyone in the world: over 400,000 surgeries and almost 4 million patient visits a year! And when you see so many cases and do so many surgeries you get really, really, really, good at it. The problem with Aleks is that he'll require ongoing long-term care. It's not like a cataract than you can just take out and essentially not worry about.

I'm taking this one personally. If I did this all the time, I'd be out of a job.

One of my pet peeves is watching ringside "doctors" flashing their pen lights in fighters' eyes, having them count fingers, etc. It's a joke. They clearly have no clue what they're doing.

Well, Aleksandar understands it. That's what's important. :) He's a very smart kid.

Just want to say it's incredible how far you're going to help Aleks, and I am truly relieved to see he has someone quite obviously learned in his corner who can help him proceed in he right direction.

Thank you for helping.

My pleasure Aleks! I'm glad I could help. Thanks to everyone else as well, for helping out this young man during a difficult time in his life.

Cheers everyone,

Johnny

@Johnny.Doe thank you very much , im really thankful. I have said this many times but i just cant avoid that to say.

@Sage NorthGOAT I want to thank you also so much for being here every single day, before it was sticky bumping this thread, and now supporting . You are very kind person, and i hope your friends in real life know what they have.

@Aleksandar Stojkovic I believe that you are getting a huge chance here to get at least the best options for treatment. It may be a tough thing to do given the stress and physical problems you are under but you really may want to request all clinics you visited to hand over / send all documentation they do have.

I'm taking this one personally. If I did this all the time, I'd be out of a job.

Yeah while I think it is fantastic what you are doing here, generally speaking, it seems you made a wise career decision with this level of empathy.

Glad to see the goal was met.

Un-stickying the thread now, but leaving it here in the Heavies, so conversations & connections made in this thread can be maintained

Congrats @Aleksandar Stojkovic

Aleks, if you are struggling post raising this money you may want to consider coming to the U.K. Healthcare tourism, as much as I don't the general idea, may be the best way to get all of your issues resolved.

It doesn't surprise me to be honest, especially as India has one of the best education systems in the world...
It's similar to Iran being one of the best for Neurosurgery and sex changes... because of past wars and having to do so many.
It was mostly from your informative comments and lack of trust in the care he was being given that took me to the idea of using the gofundme money to travel to a different country and seek reliable help. - it's not so much saying one is better than the other, more that in the likes of the US and Eu, there's far less corruption at grass roots level an he may be seen to more efficiently ?
