I would be satisfied just hearing a single, rational explanation for why every witness from the State Department and US Embassy were working under the assumption that the WH wanted Zelensky to publicly announce an investigation into Biden's work at Burisma before the the military aid would be released.

Either that or an admission that that was, in fact, the clear directive from the WH and then a feasible argument as to why such an action was not an abuse of the office of the presidency.

Stop taking your information in the form of heresay and secondary sources when the primary sources DIRECTLY REFUTE these claims. Zelensky has stated on record that there was no request made in relation to the aid. Zelensky also stated that he had no idea that the aid was being withheld.....

What makes you think they were going to let either Mulvaney or Perry tell the truth in public? This was all aimed at digging for confirmation bias or some hidden straw of illegality to grasp at. They fully expected Perry and Mulvaney to not comply with the subpoenas. And on the off chance they did comply they would have taken their testimony in secret like they did with everyone else they called to try and make sure they would say what they wanted them to say, and only then put them out there in the full light of day.

If he continues to block witness testimony he will force his Republican members to have to go on record in floor votes to deny each witness...he has way more than 3 members of his caucus who are already iffy for re election, forcing them into saying "yes" or "no" on witnesses can be avoided and they can still acquit Trump.

The intelligence community are professional liars. Political theatre is what they do....just usually not wirhin the United States.

Mark my words. This is going to continue happening to presidents as long as the IC doesn't like them. Any president who disagrees with the intelligence establishment, especially in matters of war and peace will be smeared and attacked like this in the future.
