If big boy blue belt is smashing all your smaller whites blues and purples, match him up with browns and blacks who can handle him going full power.

That way everyone benefits, and no one has to artificially handicap themselves.

I haven't been in pure BJJ for years but I do see the pussification trend. Old school GJJ/BJJ is not really like that. We would spend a lot more time on the basics, leverage, and counters to moves that big but inexperienced guys would do. If you look at Royce, he doesn't have the best BJJ in the world but he could punch above his weight.
I'd rather be crushed than have someone lie to me about the reality of fighting.
