That’s not foreshadowing, it’s stupid. They wouldn’t let their toddler run around an echoey store

If you'll recall, no one allowed the child to do anything. The mother was tending to the sick child, the father wasn't even in the store, leaving the little shit to be looked after by a little girl who can't even hear. The scene was absolutely foreshadowing events to come.

it was a great movie. it was well directed, the plot was straight forward but left imagination and interpretation as to what is going on, and it was well acted.

people nit picking plot holes need to get a fucking life. it's a movie, sorry that the characters don't behave EXACTLY as you would (which to say is you'd shit your pants and be dead within 5 minutes of any catastrophe). i mean, you must have a fucking tree branch shoved up your twat to not enjoy a movie like this b/c you don't think the script is "realistic" enough.
