Zookeeper Gabe's Animal Thread V6.0

Been weeks since I last saw this thread on first page, must be my timezone. Had to look back 100+ posts but it was worth my time.

Holy shit......

I'm surprised this video haven't gone viral. The Cow turned into Terry Etim on impact. Hope he is not seriously hurt though.

This is a more light hearted one. And watch to til the end for result.

My dad grew up in a farm and he would always tell stories about how rams would beat the bulls in fights. Bulls wouldn't get KTFO, but they would retreat shaking their head after impact.

Seems like cow skulls aren't made for, um, ramming. They'll lift and jostle but no dead-on collision like what a ram does.

Terry Etim :icon_lol:

Full grown cows/bulls have incredibly large and dense skulls. Seeing him KO'ed like that is a jaw dropper. He put a one hitter quitter on that cow. The ram staggered while trying to get up because the mass of the cow alone must have delivered some serious impact, it would have probably killed you or I.

The one you posted, I can't quite figure out if they are just playing around or if that goat is actually serious. That bull could squash him like a bug. Although he should beware of A level Rams.

Have you ever done this?

Not sure if you are knowledgeable about insects, but I will just ask anyway. So couple of minutes ago, I saw a green bug flying around my room, because it was slightly over a inch so it was very noticeable. Didn't care until it landed on the rotating blade of my air condition and didn't move immediately after. Took me about a minute to get up and noticed it's a praying mantis. Seems to have frozen from the cool air blowing directly on it. I tried blowing warm air on it and seems to have revive it somehow but only the feelers are moving after 5mins. Any other way I could help it?

Put it outside on some plants in the sun. Should warm up and reanimate.

Its a ram. The cow probably weighs 1500 pounds, the ram probably 150 pounds. I'm not so sure the cow wasn't killed on impact. Gott damn son, remind me not to fuck with a ram.

The sound was pretty sickening. I am fairly certain that cow has a fractured skull at the very least.

I kept blowing warm air on it for a couple of minutes, after my post, and the legs started moving and that's it. I was afraid it would be a free-meal for others if I just left it outside so I placed it in a container. 5mins before this post, I threw in a small fly and the fly got ninja-ed. Will be releasing it after it's meal.

The fact that the mantis got knock out immediately after direct air-conditioner cold wave was funny and scary at the same time. Glad it's okay.

Awesome. Glad it got a meal and is doing better. Mantids are rad as hell.

Lol. Not much after that size people tend to stop interacting with their leopards. Some still do as adults but most stop because they get to unpredictable and angry.

Gabe, or anyone, I have a pet garter snake. I usually handle him for an hour or so every day but I've been out of the house for a month and my family have been feeding and giving him water. I took him out his viv and when I was handling him he tried to get away and when I obviously stopped him he had a really foul smelling secretion from his mouth, kind of like a thick saliva. I've had him musk on me plenty but never had anything from the mouth i know it's been recently discovered that they hold relatively week venom that they chew into prey so wondering if he tried to strike and missed. Anyone know of this or had any of their snakes have this sort of secretion? or should I be a bit worried?
