2021 Olympic Champion and 3x World Champion freestyle wrestler Zaurbek Sidakov went to Arizona to train MMA with Cejudo
No idea if he wants to switch to MMA
He is 28 yo and most likely a WW

My favourite wrestler right now. At least second best p4p top wrestler out there. I wouldn't train with Cejudo though. I would train with Khabib and Islam. No one will be able to take his takedowns in MMA.

Would be the best wrestler ever to transition into MMA.

Considering his credentials, I wouldn't be surprised if CCC started helping these top tier wrestlers to transition to MMA.

If he decides to go full time coach, this could be very fun for the sport.

He was earlier this year on podcast of boxer Drozd and he wants to move down to FW in mma.

Sidakov is awesome.
I will hope for the best and pray that this isn't another Marcelo Garcia, for whom I had the highest hopes.
I worry that 28 is a bit too late to just be starting MMA. At least below 205 lbs.

watched that debut live, disappointing yes, but then we got maia eventually I guess. Garcia is goat but Roger did come in too. I guess lots might say Roger is goat too.

sidakov would be by far the best wrestler ever to come into MMA and for me 28 wouldn't be so bad. He's a special wrestler, build him up through regional scene, get him a good bjj coach, and a striking coach, and if possible hook him up with khabib's team, he will be world class in three years.

I used to get excited about elite wrestling prospects, but outside heavyweight they just seem to look clunky and awkward quite often, sometimes too muscular, and hideous at striking in general.

So I won't get my hopes up.

I know some guys break the mould, but many more do not.
