Youre pathetic if you question Cowboy.

You're pathetic if you don't realize what that fight was about on saturday. It was getting the biggest star in the UFC back, making people forget his losses and outside POS behaviour.

Cowboy is a big name, was a good fighter and 2yrs ago would have been able to put up a fight but was just a sacrificial lamb on saturday.

This was just basically a PR stunt for conor, dana and the ufc.

Now conor fans are saying he's Mr. Invincible - would beat floyd in a rematch, beat manny in a boxing match, is gonna take out Jorge, gonna avenge his lose to Khabib, going to take out Usman. All the while ignoring the fact that he fought a shot fighter and avoided a real threat and in essence fought the fighter whose been calling him out leftovers.

Do conor fans not realize that cowboy was on a 2 fight losing streak and was KTFO in his last fight?

I think he been fighting so long and has been through this so many times... hes lost so many big fights that hes learned how to process it.

He knows at this point his best is behind him, it was never good enough and that its coming to an end.

That’s a fair assessment.

You think he didn’t throw the fight because if he was going to he wouldn’t have missed his wife and kid? That’s the worst reasoning ever.

Come on guys...

A man like Cowboy isn't gonna kiss his son and wife on national TV and then go out and get beat up on purpose.

A man wouldn't...COULDNT do that, it would be too hard to look at your family in the face after that, too hard to look at yourself in the mirror.

Put some hespect on Cowboy and hey, UFC...GIVE THAT MAN A JOB so he can stop fighting.
Every man has his price.

And why would a massive, multi-billion dollar company open themselves up to blackmail and discovery, risking serious repercussions and permanently destroying their brand? Fixed fights make sense for promoters who stand to gain a significant % increase to their total net worth from the fix, not for megacorporations that stand to lose far more than they stand to gain..... especially when the fight is already massively in favor of the person they're "fixing" it for.

Even for the promoter it doesn't make much sense. If the UFC got caught fixing fights all the money in all the sports books would dry up overnight. Live gates would suffer as a result. Casino's would probably try to distance themselves from it. Fans wouldn't trust another UFC card. Hell, promotion is a licensed thing. What happens if even some of the key comissions decided to pull the UFC's promotor license. A 4 billion dollar company becomes a toxic asset in the blink of an eye.

All so they can secure a win for a guy that's already a 3 to 1 favorite going in.

I feel sorry for Cowboy. After all he's done for your entertainment you give him this shit? He has money already and just got outclassed in a fight against a much better opponent. Everyone claiming he took a dive is just a McGregor hating fucking loser.
Exactly

I'd think that if you knew, for sure, in advance that you were going to get the shit kicked out of you, you'd probably leave at least your kid at home. Maybe the wife has to be there for appearances, but why would you subject your kid to that?

It's okay to question things. Pathetic is the word more suitable to describe performance of fighter named in title on last Saturday.
Idk if he took a dive or not, but that was just a weird sequence of events, friendly press-conferences, promises to stand and bang, throw down and such a failure after that.
I bet somebody like Tony Ferguson would be actually frustrated about the whole thing instead of being proud if he won like Conor did on Saturday. :D

Get out of your parents basement and get a job. Maybe you'll realize what people will do for money

Man, why do you guys even watch this sport if you think people who are capable of becoming world champ have such shitty characters. I think it takes a certain type of guy to become world champ
You that naive?

cowboy's grandma hugged him, thanking for changing their families life. they are set for life now.

frankly, everyone got what they wanted. the ufc. conor. cowboy and his family

Everything happened so fast.

Conor explodes with a straight left, Cowboy ducks it...clinch...shoulder strike breaks his nose, shoulder strike hurts his eye...disengage...hes dazed...gets headkicked.

DONE

He had no chance, Ben Askren had no chance...same thing.

Ben askren got knocked out the fuck out same way Aldo get knocked the fuck out they werent awake to fight back. Cowboy had plenty of chances to grappple, throw a punch or take conor down and he just stood there sand bagging in the ring and quit like a bitch. He is a massive loser and will always be remembered for this dive.

There's no way Cowboy threw the fight because it just looked so bad on his part. Cowboy did not even throw a punch. I'm embarrassed for him, for his performance, and more so his reaction after the fight saying that he had never seen anything like that? Like what? At this stage in his career, he is not even suited for Bellator. Send him down to LFA or Cage Warriors. Dana and ESPN should refund all the people half their money back for paying for that shi*t show they charged $60 for. Thank God for the firestick. What was worse, is I had to stay up until midnight to watch not even a sparring session. A couple of shoulder shrugs and it was over. We all knew going into this fight that it was a name and a fighter on the downside of his career that Dana was feeding to Connor, not a legit challenger. But to not even throw a punch??? Shame on Cowboy!! Shame on the UFC and Dana White for their money grab in making this fight. We all know that should have been Justin Gaethje in there ending Connor's run. I highly doubt we will see Connor against any legit opponent other than a Champion before going for any belt. He can not hang with anyone in the top 3 in either the Lightweight or Welterweight division. I've followed Cowboy prior to his WEC days when the guys from Tapout recruited him and got him noticed. It's time to hang up the hat before it gets even more embarrassing.

Who wouldn't take a dive for millions of $ ?

He's already making good money from fighting Conor. Why get humiliated on purpose? Not everything is money. Allowing someone like McGregor to freely hit could cost you your life. He also could have taken a dive a lot less painfully. Why not fake getting KTFO by that kick and save himself further punishment? Answer me that.
