I can only imagine how my life would've changed if I'd heard The Smiths back in high school in the 80's. But alas, they received no airplay in my two-stoplight hometown back in rural Georgia, USA.

I did however get to hear this...




It was nothing short of the Good Lord that enabled me to hear this over my boombox that I bought from Sears one fateful night and this song convinced me of one thing...

That by ANY means legal...

I HAD to leave that place.

Paris, Rome, Tokyo, Kampala, Manila, Milan, Bonn, Amsterdam, would all be a dream were it not for this ONE SONG that made me want to... Achieve the GREATER heights.

I understand and love the passion! I was lucky and had an older cousin who was into punk and what not in my youth so I got to hear How Soon Is Now? in my pre-teens and liked it but I didn't really connect with them until I got a little older. Morrissey wrote some of the best lyrics of the 80s imo. I true poet. Really love all those bands from that era though.
