Your SO and your phone...

My gf has a lock on her phone. I've known the password ever since we started dating. I don't have my phone PW protected. BC I have nothing to hide. And ever since I got rid of FB she rarely goes thru my phone. I don't think I've ever gone thru her phone in the 3+ years we dated.

I'm also not an idiot and I'll delete anything thats questionable. And I use incognito mode to watch pron. People who get caught do so because they don't know how to cover their tracks.

To the people who don't have the phone password protected... I hope you have a wipe plan if it gets lost or stolen.

If you have email going to your phone, and online services linked to that email address, anyone who has access to your phone can access anything that's linked to that address. Obviously, most people wouldn't, but phones do get stolen and stuff.

I have a female friend who tells me some very personal stuff about her dating life. She is very shy and she tells only me. Sometimes she emails me. How would she feel if she knew I just passed off these deep secrets to the person sitting next to me?

Good lord. It's not just for your secrets. It's for the secrets of others. Grrrrr.

Should be noted that the privacy of the advice threads is 100% respected and there is no way any personal problems/information shared here in Mayberry will be compromised and revealed beyond the universal public domain they're already in.
 
When my girl sees me on sherdog she always gives off an "ughh". This is like my safe haven, though I'm pretty sure she'll laugh at half the shit I post on here.

This is true, but i dont follow the logic. I dont see why going through her phone would make any difference. Either she finds out and spreads counter intelligence, she hides it better, or you find evidence supportin your claim. Whats the next step

It really is a communications arms race out there.
 
My wife goes through my phone sometimes and gets pissed at what she sees (porn, texts disparaging her, etc.).

I tell her to get the fuck over it and give me my space. She stays butthurt for a bit but eventually gets over it.

This happens once every couple months or so
