What about Jeremiah Johnson?

Also, it's set in modern day, but has kind of a western feel to it, Wind River is excellent.

Outside of that one, the only Western I've enjoyed in recent years is Old Henry. It was a bit predictable but still fun.

No order

Tombstone
Unforgiven
Pale Rider
Hell or High Water
Dollars Trilogy

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Everything else is shit by comparison

Django was maybe OK

but No Country is not a western

and True Grit is complete shit

TG,TB&TU isn't even the best movie in its trilogy.

High Plains Drifter
Fistful of Dollars
Outlaw Josey Wales
Wild Bunch
Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid
Tombstone

1948 " Treasure of the Sierra Madre " one of the finest movies ever made

1949 " The Walking Hills " , it's on youtube and good

1970 " Monte Walsh " with Jack Palance and Lee Marvin , my favorite Lee Marvin movie , excellent writing

1972 "Culpepper Cattle Company "
