Mikey Garcia would have KO'd Lomachenko if he landed as cleanly as Linares did. Lomachenko is an amazing, but undersized fighter (although in all fairness, so is Mikey).
Loma doesn't have one punch stopping power - he stops guys more due to cumalative punishment. Mikey can put a guy down with one punch AND he can break opponents down over time. Timothy Bradley said it best (when asked about MG) - Mikey doesn't even have to throw a punch to break guys down. His constant forward pressure, excellent footwork and timing just tires his opponents out.

The fuck he will. He can get a close decision or nothing. If Linares popped him and dropped him, Mikey will get his in too, and walk Loma right into them as well. Mikey faster than he looks, but more about IQ and timing and distance. Loma is going to get hurt in that fight. But he can definitely win if he fights the perfect fight.

Linares is bigger than Garcia tho. 5'8 vs 5'6. Garcia looked straight out flabby vs Broner, who is a mental case. Garcia has only fought scrubs since 2013, outside of Broner.
I mentioned to @PUO3 in the rbr thread that I also would pick Loma, but that is one of the best fights to be made in all of boxing right now. I am about 50/50 with that fight. I give the slight edge to Loma due to his activity against top opposition and how that mentally prepares someone. Garcia been inactive, fighting no name, and Broner. Broners training camp was probably all about losing weight, rather than being a good fighter.

I definitely thought Mikey was waiting on Loma, trying to stall for time and scout the fight more, but Linares? Mikey woulda wiped his as with Linares. Just like Salido who he knocked down 4 times, embarrassed and made it look easy against, who beat Loma.

I was actually thinking Loma the favorite, but if Linares gave him trouble, Mikey a specialist in walking movers/boxers into hard shots. All 9f Loma's footwork will be negated and wasted energy. It'll be a war of attrition if he wins, he'll be on the bike, and spamming volume to stay alive, and eek one out on the cards. MIKEY will be pursuing the stoppage which will seem eminent whole fight long, even if Loma outpoints him.

What do you mean? Salido inside gamed the fuck outta Loma as a shopworn vet on his last leg, and Mikey tooled the same guy all the way to the end. I don't care about boxing math, but acting like Loma just came in and took out some guy Mikey ducked lol. Mikey has ALOT more tools than Linares. He'd never lose to the calibre of Salido or Demarco. That's not math. Some fighter's show more in the professional ranks than some who showed more in the ammies. Nothing new
