Wait, you're saying there's a difference between Colby and Fitch?

The game is somewhat more refined now. GSP was fighting opponents who didn't get their black belt yet. He didn't have one either while some opponents did. The competitors during that time didn't have great defense/wrestling against the wall. Nobody plays guard anymore and lets someone sit in there to can opener and frame in order to throw elbows. GSP's style of fighting doesn't happen as much anymore. Even stuff we used to see like blast doubles aren't really used anymore.

It's nobody's fault. It's just the way competition was back then. It is hard to compare. GSP isn't stupid. It's not like he isn't capable of learning new tricks if he came up in this era. It's hard to say he would be as dominant though.

Usman is the most overrated WW champion of all time, with the most padded defense record of all time. Jorge is a gatekeeper at best, journeyman more realistically. Colby's best fights were losing to Usman.

GSP has better wrestling and boxing than both. GSP beat better contenders too, GSP was too dominant

Who is Colby’s best win, dumbass? The ghosts of Woodley or Lawler? LW RDA?
GSP is lightyears better than him and though he would likely have a real struggle with Usman, Prime GSP beats him everywhere.
 
I know it's going to be very debatable around here... but I think Usman is better than GSP, colby, etc. Usman to me was an extraordinary talent with little to no weakness at the top of the division. He would never get tkoed into submission by Matt Serra, for example.

Regardless, GSP is the most accomplished and best welterweight of all time.
