You can barely talk to doctors anymore

What's that saying about doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I'm confused at how you keep banging your head at the mantle of allopathic medecine, when they clearly have no answers for you. Slow learner? Think outside the box.

Didn't this all start around the time you got the J&J shot anyway? I'm baffled how you consistently ignore the connection. If I took something and shortly after crazy symptoms started happening to me, I'd draw a link. You've been having symptoms for 3 years, OK what happened in 2021? Right.

Most of it is overweight people who live sedentary lifestyles and have multiple self destructive habits wondering why they’re always tired and their bodies are stiff and sore. That’s what they invented the term “fibromyalgia” for.

That’s not true at all. Most GP’s are under contract and make the same whether prescribe no meds or many meds. It’s the quality metrics they get bonuses for such as a target number of their patients have their colonoscopy and mammograms.
I’m sorry, but we have seen in the past that the insurance companies pay them bonuses for keeping the total cost of treatment under a certain dollar amount.
Kaiser got caught doing it years back. And if they got caught, it doesn’t mean they were the only ones doing it. It just means they were the only ones who got caught.
There is little reason to believe that isn’t still happening. I think they just got better at hiding it.

Doctors don’t get paid by insurance companies lol

But they did get bonuses from them for keeping the cost of treatment below a threshold. Just like they get bribes from pharmaceutical companies. They don’t “pay” doctors either. But, they can make their life much more comfortable.
And in Kaiser’s case, they are the insurer and the provider and the employer. So they do get paid by the insurance company’s

If anything insurance makes a doctors life more difficult. They rarely ever approve what they want to order/prescribe without making both the doctor and the patient jump through hoops first. You have no clue what you’re talking about.

It’s actually gotten to the point where insurances are dictating medical practice.

Yes, that is very much what I am saying. But I am also saying that, in the past, they have uncovered schemes in which they were paying doctors bonuses for letting them dictate medical practices. And they, of course, dictated courses of action that all just happened to make it so the insurance companies didn’t have to pay for as many tests or treatments.

I can’t even find the article about Kaiser because it was well over a decade ago and they have had so many scandals since then.

this is exactly why I get all my medical advice from Joe Rogan. say what you want about Joe, but the guy is willing to talk to anybody about anything for 3-4 hours at at time.

the fact that insurance is involved at all is why health care is a shit show. the vampires are too heavily involved.

It's weird. When I had free healthcare it was much more personal and the doctors were always willing to answer questions and address any other concerns. I could also get same day or next day appointments most of the time if I called in the morning.

Kaiser doctors don't give a fuck and the whole thing feels like you're a dog at scummy vet clinic. Just go in, what's wrong, here's a script, and I'll schedule you next week for that knee pain because we ain't got time to listen without another copay. Also bring like $150 so you can pay for the X-rays and codeine that you absolutely need (lol at physical therapy before surgery). Fuck them hoes with a rusty spoon.

my first year with kaiser, and it's been a disaster so far, fml

They try to get you in and out as fast as possible.

I've seen so many doctors. Most of them aren't even doctors, but nurse practitioners or PAs. I just saw one this morning and I was in, talked to her for like 30 seconds, then I was on my way home. I got 2 new prescriptions she told me to try. They try to get you in and out as fast as possible. I got a million questions about my bloodwork results, MRI, etc.. but they're having none of it. I'm left to do my own research online.
In my experience it has always been like that. Seems like empathy and pedagogy isn't part of their job.

I'm speaking specifically about doctors having a financial incentives to push drugs. THAT was worse in the 90s. Far worse. Viagra was genuinely a miracle drug, but doctors were given vacations, lavish meals, golf outings... anything and everything the reps could write off in exchange for pushing it. Today those reps can't put a tissue box with the brand name on it in the doctor's lobby.

And yes, more people are taking more drugs, but that's not inherently wrong unto itself. The largest generation of human beings ever produced is now in their 60s and 70s and some have real problems that require medicine. Also more drugs are available to treat more conditions. In 1981 there were 0 drugs to treat RLS. Today there are 16 suited to the needs of different patients. That's a lot more people on meds, but it's not a bad thing. No one is abusing Sprycel or Yervoy and no doctor is perscribing those casually to patients that don't need it.

Certainly the opiod epidemic still looms over healthcare but even in the midst of it most doctors were attempting to screen for drug seeking behavior and adicts were seeking out a hand full of pill mills. Trying to hang that on the whole industry profiteering just wouldn't be accurate.
Are you some pharma shill? Lol we get everything here.

No, but I did do some supply chain work in a marketing department for some oncology drugs a few years ago so I do know a lot about it. Specifically I know how the pharma code was enforced and I talked to sales people every day. But I've never personally sold anything.

Don't get me wrong. I do have some issues with the pharma industry (e.g. there's no reason that all of the covid vaccines shouldn't have been made public domain), and they were charging $300 for $15 worth of insulin because they know it's life or death. They bribe the shit out of our politicians for industry protections and big barriers to entry.

I just think some people need medicine and more people having access to treatment for their problems is good.
