Yoell's cheating is infuriating

I love when people make this argument, because its a shitty one. False Equivalency. Tim's infraction was a parking ticket compared to Yoel's not answering of the stool, which was like a felony. Should of been immediately DQd

That's retarded lol

The only offense Kennedy had in that entire fight was the time he cheated..... which is also the only reason Romero was even rocked and late for the bell to begin with.

Plus, he obviously wasn't that bad off because twenty seconds later he fucking wrecked Kennedy's shit in an extended beating.

What are you talking about it? Dana white was infuriated and the media kept the story strong for six weeks. Also, the NSAC still took it seriously and investigated it so........ he did get flak. Plus the fans didn't laugh it off. Greasegate is still sour apples to half the people on sherdog who were around then. It was a big deal. I think you're laughing off the fact that a lot of people took it seriously.

No, we're just laughing at the fact that BJ Penn got his mother to speak for him at the hearing.

Sounds like OP has a finger up his ass without anybody asking first.

If you're not cheating, you're not trying...

But I agree that he has some sketchy ways in his fights.
Still gonna be MW champ tho.

yoel is currently one of my favorite fighters.

i love the hate he gets. suck it. he keeps winning. and he is gonna get that strap.

What kennedy did was worth of a warning...What Romero did was an automatic dq...

I've heard so many people say this since that fight, and it makes absolutely no fucking sense. So the foul that lead to literally the ONLY offense Kennedy had the entire fight is fine.

But cheating a few seconds extra to recover from the illegal blows is the worst thing ever? So silly. If the ref had done his job and noticed the foul he would have gotten up to 5 minutes to recover, not an extra 30 seconds.

Id imagine Kennedys strikes were illegal cuz he was grabbing Yoels glove, in which case isnt Yoel allowed up to 5 minutes to recover? No different than a nut shot or eyepoke in my opinion
Exactly. The logical response to "Stoolgate" is...

"Yoel is such a badass for not taking his full 5 minutes".

So many fighters do these things over the years but only 2 actually get heat for it. Everyone will bend the rules and it's the refs job to impose those rules.
Stalling, outstretched fingers, too much water, Vaseline . 2nds out. Etc. It happens on every card. Even boxers bend the rules. Holding excessive, holding and hitting , repeated low blows on purpose.
Many of the all time greats being those tools out when need be.

1. Romero with his potpourri of of infractions and2. bones eyepokes.
When in reality about everyone does that. And such a problem a rule was made. UFC and eyepokes go hand in hand.
In pride you never saw that. Maybe there gloves should be copied.
So those things I look at like they're playing the game, bending the rules.

I would say cheating is when
GSP was greasing and didn't get much flack. Many opponents said this after they fought him and was even doing it between rounds.
Now that is blatant cheating.

If you are a safety first grappler there is no better way to cheat than what gsp did.

Very true, Bernard Hopkins was a great dirty fighter and Holy was a master at head butting

Honestly you might be a little dumb to not bend the rules as an MMA fighter

Why not grab the cage to avoid being taken down? The penalty is the ref says "no grabbing the cage" as opposed to being on your back with someone elbowing your face

People fight dirty all the time...

People hold the cage all the time...

People box dirty all the time <--- "dirty boxing"

It's a fight... shit happens.
Why are you mentioning "dirty boxing" it's a term coined for working strikes from the clinch like uppercuts which is perfectly legal. It's dirty in actual boxing, but not in MMA.
