show me where number 1 contenders are guaranteed the next title shot. The UFC never worked that way, they do what's best for them. Suing the UFC over this would be asinine.
 
There's no law that says sports entertainment companies must honor their rankings. The only legal document involved is the contract Yoel signed, and I don't think I'm going out on a limb when I say that it gives the UFC absolute legal authority to do whatever the fuck they want to.

Disagree, Bisping is the bigger payday and Woodley got schooled and shut down by jabs via Macdonald.. GSP is a better fighter with much better technique than Rory.
Woodley can't fight being backed up. Even Thompson showed that in the last fight. In the fifth round wonderboy's team told him to be defensive and it cost him the fight. If he'd of moved forward as he had been doing it was his for the taking.

GSP would use his reach and jab Woodley into retreat. Georges also has much better take downs and td defence than Wonderboy.
As far a Romero sueing the UFC, it would be a waste of time and money. There's Nothing saying he gets a title shot written anywhere. It's subjective always has been ,always will be. Just for this reason..

The big thing is "president". The UFC has done this at least four times in the past. Bringing back ex champs ,bumping contenders out of the way. GSP is the only one that is coming back for a title fight that never lost the belt. Moving up a weight class isn't a reason either , it's been done twice. BJ was LW Champion lost the belt, left ,came back and got immediate title shot at WW against Hughes. Randy lost to Chuck at LHW ,retired came back and got immediate title shot at HW against Tim Silvia. It doesn't matter if it were long ago and things were different. In a court Romero would lose on president set in the past.

Also it's not like he's never going to get a shot. He just has to wait.. Like so many other fighters in line for a shot. If all of them sued we'd never see fights and it would take longer to go through the court's than it would to wait their turn.

Yoel should get some positive tests under his belts and some wins in the same timeframe.
 
Stars get special treatment and always have in sports. Bisping has done a lot for the UFC and so has GSP so they get what they want many more times than not. Bisping waited a long time for his title shot so I don't think he feels all that bad for Yoel and Jacare even though there both deserving.

Do I always agree with it no, but I at least understand it. When it comes to MMA usually us fans win in this situation.

USADA is tougher then Olympic testing. Random testing out of competition. Olympic athletes are not being tested right now.

Olympians have been cheating that system for a long time. Most don't get in trouble until after the fact.
 
Sue them on what grounds ?

As a private org not ruled by the Ali Act. They can make any fight they want, for any title. They could let him sit like Woodley. But, at Yoel's age, that could really work against him.

GSP is the biggest fight at MW. Does anybody really think Bisping vs Romero would sell even halfass decently ? I doubt it. I sure don't want to see that shit.

But, this lawsuit shit is NEVER happening. Unless the UFC has somehow broken the contract. Which is highly unlikely.

As evidenced by Conor's contract. The UFC ALWAYS writes the contracts to give them the ultimate power. It's not rocket science.

We've seen a lot of cases of athletes being stripped years after as the samples are retested when testing methods improve. The eyeball test hasn't lied to us once yet and I firmly believe these guys are all cheating
