He def has been dodge at times but I think Jones's eye pokes and Gsp greasing is worse than that.

The way he came out last fight with that weird robot defence was trippy as. Would have confused the fuck outta Rob but Rob one upped him and oblique kicked him that really surprised everyone.

Currently one of my favorite fighters and a true blessing to the MW Division. Never miss a single one of his fights, I think people look past that he's currently 41 and just fought for the title and arguably won. Would be a GOAT Contender no doubt if he started earlier. Don't know about him vs Costa (broken orbitals can be career killers), but we all know someone is definitely getting fucked up and destroyed.

My guess is that since his hand was dangling over toward 11 oclock, the ref didn't catch it. Because ya, in slo motion it certainly looks like his elbow is moving straight up and down, even if his hand is over at 11.

It's an obtuse rule. While looking for an example of action being halted because of 12-6's to the thigh (which I didn't find), I found this article. It doesn't address whether the rule is only to the head or not, but it does review the history of 12-6's, what they are and aren't, etc.

Several people in the room dispute the most common narrative that it was because of karate elbows breaking concrete blocks. I suppose we'll never know.
