Mother Nature is having its say. Very sad. This is becoming a regular occurrence all over the globe. Where I live there is flooding guaranteed every year and we seem not so prepared. It has been horrific the past few years with entire towns flooded.

As a Building Official I check housing on flood prone and floodplains.. Here’s a suggestion if you are buying a house, check for any natural hazards before hand and stay clear! Insurance companies are becoming more hot on this now and will put conditions that any flood excludes a payout!

I can also say it’s only going to get worse from here as the world heats up. We can’t carry on kicking the can, it’s already become too late. Just look lat the devastation from flooding the past few years. Brazil last year was devastating.

The planet is being damaged at an alarming rate and we are responsible for it!

Consider that we are now finding out that oil is not a fossil fuel but is created by pressures in the Earth's mantle and if this is truly the case it would make it the most renewable energy there is.

We have been able make synthetic petroleum with conditions in a lab that essentially recreate conditions that would lead to generation within the mantle.

There is much more evidence to suggest that this is how oil is produced, the term fossil fuel was coined when oil baron lobbied to have scientists study the origins of oil. The goal was to promote the idea that Oil was scare and to drive up profits.

It was later on when this was proven not to be a scientific fact whatsoever that oil again lobbied scientists for a new scenario and that's where the theory that all forms of life create fossil fuels from the pressures of layers of sediments. This is a theory that can never be proved or replicated because it is a process that takes millions of years.

China has been leading in this area trying to drill the deepest holes yet by developing new technologies and methods.
