I know who he is, or was:
A punching bag for the champ from a division below him
A punching bag for the champ from a division below him
For a Conor lover, you ain't so bad normally
I always tell people on this thread, I got my prediction wrong and that much is on me, but people completely miss the point of the thread.
The point was around the majority of Conor supporters being idiots. The guys who make "predictions" without even knowing Conor's opponent. Half the people commenting on this thread to this day - still have no idea how good Eddie actually is, they have no idea about his skill-set, his resume etc. but because of blind Conor obsession they just spout his lines such as "he'll be done in one".
You cannot be predicting fights when you don't know one of the fighters - you look like a n00b.
We should all link this thread anytime TS posts something condescending ever again. He deserves it. Especially with a name like that.
Natural born noob.
You should probably change your identity. It's all over for you. How embarrassing
Did some people predict this genuinely? Sure. Some people who support Conor, knew about Eddie also and made an informed prediction.Perceptive fans were able to look past the fighter records and evaluate each fighter based on skills displayed in the cage. That is why many of us, like myself, DID predict Conor would beat Poirer and Alvarez AND were proven correct! You assume everybody that makes predictions that go contrary to the fighters' records is simply ignorant of them. IT IS YOU that is ignorant by using only a fighter's record to predict the outcome of a fight. And THAT is why this thread continues on and on and on.....because after 33 fucking pages YOU STILL DON'T GET IT!!!
Did some people predict this genuinely? Sure. Some people who support Conor, knew about Eddie also and made an informed prediction.
But, in that same breath - a shit load of the Conor fans here, predicting a KO in the first round, who haven't even watched Eddie before - so yeah, they are idiots.
There is nothing to "get", I totally get that I misjudged this bout, I'm not denying that. My issue is with people making predictions on fights based on bias rather than knowledge.
Simple concept really.

There is a stereotype amongst Sherbros that Conor McGregor fans by large are relatively new to the sport and do not watch much else MMA wise other than him. This point is being proven by the minute, since the announcement of his fight with Eddie Alvarez.
Y'all really never seen Eddie have you? Perhaps 1 or 2 of his fights, right?
You may have seen him lose to Cerrone, his boring win over Pettis or even the dos Anjos TKO...
Michael Chandler? Shinya Aoki? Those names mean anything to you? ... Nah, I didn't think so.
Just for educational purposes, Eddie Alvarez has it fucking ALL!
- The guy has KO power in both hands.
- Crisp, technical boxing.
- Solid wrestling, with very good ability to control from the top position.
- Underrated and sneaky BJJ, takes the back very easily.
- Cardio for days, looks the same in rounds 4 and 5 as the first round.
- Heart for days. Let you knock him down or rock him, if his body lets him he'll keep coming.
People keep saying that Conor will defeat him with ease on the feet...
You do know Eddie's chin is probably just as good as Nate Diaz, you know Nate, the guy that Conor couldn't put away in almost 35 minutes of fighting?
Conor has a chance, he always does when it's standing, but stop talking about Eddie Alvarez like you even know who he is or have followed his career at all.
WAR ALVAREZ!

Let me guess, he had Nate winning. As embarrassing as this thread is TS' scoring of Conor Nate 2 was even worse.

It's not like you needed to have a ton of knowledge of Eddie's career to predict how the fight would go. The fight with Pettis alone was a great indicator of how the fight with Conor would go.Did some people predict this genuinely? Sure. Some people who support Conor, knew about Eddie also and made an informed prediction.

Nothing. RDA was on stanky legs, but he took a dozen of Alvarez's best shots and never fell down.
