Dana in 2014 on Vince's decision to give all PPVs for free on the online WWE Network: "When I look at his model and he's basically taking everything in and devalued it. Saying everything we do is worth $10. That doesn't make sense to me"

Vince McMahon GOAT promoter?

One thing about the WWE is that their model strengthens theirs previously weak quarters, they also take a sizeable hit on their biggest quarter as Wrestlemania can't generate the revenue it previously did.

And half their main stars are injured.

Sixty dollar ppv's are ridiculous..Wish the UFC would move over to the WWE's model...

And yes Vince is the greatest all time promoter...

The 15% increase compares 2014 Q4 and 2015 Q4. There's only so much info I can put in the title and body before losing people's attention.

I dont know if the UFC can follow the WWE's model. Yes there is alot of mma cards but...WWE has like three weekly free tv shows as it is...

that being said...I wouldnt mind paying double for fight pass if i got it everything for free. Or at least offer some kind of half off discount for members to purchase the ppvs through fight pass. And what would happen to the fox cards if you paid for fight pass? those should still be aired on fight pass somehow if we pay more monthly to get the the ppvs we should get those too.

Me too.

I'd actually start paying for PPV's instead of streaming.

And I'm sure I'm not the only one.

$20 - $25 for fight pass with PPVs AND live on FOX cards? i would GLADLY give them my money for that.

The ufc model is absurd. They expect fans to spend thousands of dollars a year to see all the fights. It's pretty absurd. It's not worth that much. At least Vince let's his fans have the opportunity to pay. The ufc forces their fans to steal the content or piss away thousands. If it was one solid card a month, maybe. But it's multiple ppv's with sometimes only one good fight. I'll pass paying $60 for that. And yes I know I sound poor.

It's really hard for younger people to get into. Without constantly stealing the product you can't keep up. It's not like football where you can every week turn a channel on and relax. The ufc forces you to pay so much. I would love askimg my nephews hey did you see the fight? But I know they don't have the money to follow the sport.

I think its inevitable, their going to have to move over to some different model (like the one you mention here^). In this day and age of media and access to entertainment, the days of the over priced ppv is numbered.

As it is,as a fight fan who doesnt like to use some shitty stream on some questionable website...For the really big fights i try to go to a bar to see,and i stream the Fox ones online, because i dont have cable. (or i wait for them to show up on fight pass if im not so interested in it) Same goes for cards im only mildly interested in.Only way id order at home if i had a few guys chip in. No way im paying 60 bucks myself no matter how good the card is. IF there was a more manageble way to pay for everything through fight pass,id be all for it.

All those who can't watch FOX cards on Fightpass...you need to discover HOLA. free app for VPN services. Download it, use a FRENCH IP (or other non-restricted country), log in to Fight Pass, then simply disconnect from Hola (so as to not be slowed down by going through a VPN) while you are still logged in and you will be able to watch any card (you can even get your PPVs cheaper). PM for info if this posts gets deleted. I'm in Canada and don't have cable. I've been doing this forever.

I said it before....UFC has multiple free events every month where they should showcase all the new talent and chic fights. PPV should be all on the PPV for $60, 9-10 solid fights once a month, with names and belts on the line. None of this 2 free fights on Facebook, 2 fights on Fightpass, couple on Fox, then a 5 fight main card where maybe if we are lucky there are 3 of 5 solid fights/names/belts. I'm not paying $60 to watch 3 fights, Dana can blow me.

From WON's Chris Harrington. They spent more than they're gaining this quarter which is probably not a UFC problem or so you'd hope.

I have my issues with the WWE Network (and WWE as a whole:)), but it does baffle me that people still pay $60 for a UFC ppv. They aren't close to worth that now.

ive been considering getting WWE network, what sucks about it?

At $10 I'd stream. If they offered a $200 "all in" annual model, I'd go for that too. Until then, I'm forced to watch these low quality versions that I am assured are 100% legal by the guy who kidnaps me and makes me watch every event. Then the next day he downloads HD versions of the same and makes me rewatch key moments and fights.

I hate this. UFC needs to lower their ridiculous prices.
