I think the issue here is deeper than the fact that there are no real examples. It's just not really a thing that can happen in the real world. People who have political aspirations are less likely, not more, to commit crimes. And people with high profiles are less likely, not more, to get away with them. Note that Congress conducted seven separate investigations on Benghazi, and literally the worst thing they found was that Clinton sent and received work emails from a private account, and the MSM still treated that as the crime of the century (covering it more than all policy combined and more than all of Trump's scandals combined). And Republicans demanded that an old law be reinterpreted to justify jailing her for it! And they also claimed that the MSM was biased in her *favor*. And nutters think she could get away with arranging murder. Fucking murder. It's absolute madness.
