Fun show, glad it started at 9PM local instead of 2AM.
Most of my friends would have been KO'd lol

Thanks for posting that. It was a good match, but I think it's getting over hyped. That sequence from about 15 minutes to about 24 minutes of them literally just laying outside the ring (including the dude icing Kennys hip) really hurts it for me.
 
Charlton was terrible during both shows. Some of the dumbest shit he said throughout the shows that I still remember:

Calling Tony Khan a money mark. If he didn't get this cleared beforehand he's an absolute moron.

Burying Okada, Jay White, and Will Ospreay. Another clueless thing not to get cleared beforehand.

Burying the Continental Classic.

Freaking out about Bryce Remsburg being a dirty ref for AEW when Bryce wasn't doing anything wrong.

Burying Shibata during the exhibition with Tanahashi talking about Shibata "going into business for himself" and how New Japan quit working with him was dumb as fuck.

Rocky Romero having to reign in Charlton halfway through the Omega and Kidd match and Charleton then calling the match completely differently was really awkward. You could tell Walker was getting uncomfortable as well when he told Chris "let's put the guns down" to tell him to stop shooting.

Charleton also made a dumb ass joke about ELP's absense during ELP's match at Wrestle Kingdom. On New Years Dash ELP came over to the booth and asked Walker why he was alone and then started to put Walker over heavy, wonder if that joke annoyed ELP.

Seeing as ELP was out because of cancer, it wouldn't surprise me if it did annoy him. That being said ELP is a troll and could have just been taking the piss out of the situation. This is the guy who called Ospreay the "autistic assassin"

I can't tell if he was genuinely shooting or trying to build some sort of AEW v NJPW feud but in a really shit way. Like why bury the continental classic, Ospreay, and Okada? Doesn't seem to make sense.
 
Wonder if Rocky Romero was pissed off. Rocky Romero is the Vice President of Talent Coordination for New Japan and seemed shocked by it. Rocky also has the same Vice President position in AEW, if Charlton didn't clear any of this with Rocky while on commentary with him, that was definitely a blunder.

Meanwhile I read the Japanese commentary was just calling the matches and putting over the wrestlers lol.

Bryce didn’t do anything wrong? I find that hard to believe. Guy must just be a mark for Aubrey and wanted her there
