nope, not conceding anything
she said that
and she also couldn't name all 3 branches of government, among a litany of ridiculous uninformed things she's done

0 for 2 hilarious
you should get a Comedy Central special

Ok, this is just embarrassing.

attitude reflect leadership, captain

Hunter: Repeats dumb Republican talking point.
Jack: You sound like a guy who repeats dumb talking points when you do that.

"Considering she misspoke once, shouldn't we assume that she doesn't know anything at all?" Smart take.
She's misspoke more than once. In general I think she gets over-hyped by the left a bit too much. At the end of the day has she cosponsored a bill that has passed?

Still, though I was a bit skeptical of her at first she really has grown on me. I don't think she's that smart tbh and yeah she doesn't have a lot of experience but she's under 30 so how much experience can you really expect her to have? And its not like she's running for president(looking at you Yang), she's the representative of a district the vast majority of Americans had never heard of until she came onto the scene. And despite that she seems like a principled politician which is what we need more of. She's definitely my favorite of the squad by far and we need more politicians like her over politicians like Ted Cruz who is probably smarter but also evil.
Her experience is graduating from BC with honors in political science and being a political organizer as well as a worker for the Sanders campaign.
Which honestly isn't much at all. At the same time, don't Trumpettes have a hate boner for career politicians? That's supposed to be one of the reasons they voted for Trump right? And yet when a political outsider wins a congressional for the Dems suddenly experience is important.

In OTHER non-politics related news... APPARENTLY the contracts for the rights to THIS character:

Weren't under the same umbrella as the other Marvel characters on Netflix. Basically, he was only supposed to be in Daredevil Season 2 but everyone loved it so much the character was signed for his standalone seasons WITHOUT that language about a 2 year wait between Netflix and Disney retaking the rights. And Disney said they want Punisher to be in the Moon Knight show and then get a standalone season, with Bernthal, that takes place AFTER season 2 of Punisher.

Taking a bit of a Devil's Advocate stance as I personally hate career politicians.

SOME experience holding an office would be nice prior to hitting the national level. Like working on a city or county council, or in a Governor's office or a State House/Senate first. Learn the ropes a little.

You don't see dudes make their pro MMA debut fighting Jon Jones to headline a PPV card (unless you're James Toney and Dana has a hard on to embarrass you).

It's weird to me how intelligent adult can straight up regress to stubborn little kids when faced with facts showing they were wrong about something

Yeah, she doesn't have an exceptionally storied resume, as she is after all a first term House rep. The point was that ignoring her relevant education, her experience in nonprofit, and her experience in politics to say her only qualification was the job she moonlighted with is insanely dishonest. Like saying Obama's only experience during his state Senate run was the McDonald's job he had in high school. Not his sterling education or organizing experience.

I think everyone knows that this kind of thing is covering up for insecurity.

The argument was specifically that because she misspoke that one time, she has no credibility on any other issue.

"Considering she couldn't name the 3 branches of government (despite being in one), do you think she actually knows what the term Fascism means?"

Whatever you think of AOC, that is a poor argument.

And I don't think it's the left that overhypes her. I don't recall the numbers, but someone posted a link showing a huge gap in her name-recognition (with Republicans far more likely to know who she was), which is a result of her disproportionate coverage in right-wing media. Picking an inexperienced person in a very safe district and trying to make them the face of the opposition is a pretty transparent trick, but it works on the rubes.

If Bernie is the dem candidate, any chance he picks AOC for VP?

as i said, keep it up, comedy gold
You argue kind of like that Cuban weirdo. You're capable of much better, I just think you're lazy and like shitposting according to your political leanings. A step above meme spamming, at least.

I would be disappointed by that pick, but she's only 30 so it's not gonna happen. Getting a hard-nosed person like Klobuchar (if it's safe to give up her seat) would be good imo.

Highly doubt it. She offers nothing in addition to what she offers as a congressional ally except liability because of her experience.

Sherrod Brown would be my bet for his most likely pick.

Interesting. I like Amy, but no way in hell would I want to risk a Senate seat.

Wow, what makes you think that? Do they have history? His seat is probably the least safe of any Senator.

Dont take it as serious as others absolutely

With the regional stratification in politics increasing, it makes me wonder if it's even possible for Democrats to take back the senate. I know there's a chance for that to happen this year and in 2022 and 2024, but the low-population states are increasingly going to dominate the more productive ones without a big shakeup. The same reality that will cause the Electoral College to favor Democrats in the future will also favor Republican senators.
