No. I'm thinking of the 2020 thread, but it's a long-running thing. There's a whole group of Bernie fans whose whole identity is based around the idea that there is something fundamentally different about Bernie and that all other Democrats, the media, and all other corporations want to take him down.
 
Seriously, the way that's written up as a "please, can we just have $2.70" straight up sounds like begging. It's like the panhandler down near the free way entrance to I15 off 500 south that has the sign that says "I just need $20 for a 40"

Still, it's smart. He's the candidate that nobody will feel ashamed for giving just $2.70 to, and it's not a big ask of anybody. Other campaigns that I've noticed in the past tend to ask for money in a way that suggests you're not giving enough, but asking for such a small amount and being grateful for it is all Bernie, he's got that covered.

Fair enough. I hit upon a turn of phrase that allowed me to follow with a more cogent line of thought. I did not intend to be abrasive but sometimes I become enamored with le bon mot without regard for how it may change the tone of the comment.

Whenever I have seen anything of him, he is not discussing, or lecturing, he's preaching or pontificating. He's using bluster, confidence, and rapid delivery to mask lack of substance, i.e. selling snake oil. But honestly, no, I do not have much else to go on; it's just that was enough for me to know he's bad news.

Also, by the way, my favorite sampling of the countless samplings of Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" came on my headphones on the way to work today. It's by The Game ft. Jay-Z (has one of my favorite opening lines to any pop song: "I'm free as a mother fucking bird, I swear!"), and it touched on my single biggest pet peeve with the rap genre: sampling songs or being featured on songs and not conforming to their spirit. With that one, The Game's lyrics are all about how hard he is and how he's a murderer. Similarly, another sample by Glasses Malone is all about how famous he is and how women want to fuck him. And that's completely inconsistent with both the original song and even the line being sampled.

Another more famous example is when Wiz was featured on a heartbreak song by Maroon 5 (the only one by them I like) and interjected it with a completely ill-fitting rap about how rich and awesome he is:

The use of the word fascist to describe people is falling into that realm of communist or racist in how often it's used that it's lost all weight.

lol @ the three branches bit. When I said that attacks on her were shameless, did you some kind of bat signal? She referred to the three "chambers" (not branches) of government, meaning to refer to the three elected federal offices: House, Senate, Presidency.

Also, she said the US is devolving into a fascist society, which it absolutely, positively is with the Republican Party current mode of political organization before and under Trump: appointment of corporate vultures to most powerful government positions, rigid party orthodoxy and demands of loyalty to party over the good of country, creating alternate realities and claiming factual reports by the media are fictitious, undermining of democracy with bad faith voter purges, weaponizing of police powers against enemies and against their public purpose, and hedging against the massive unpopularity of their policies by scapegoating political enemies.

Our democracy is less representative than it has been in a century, inequality is the highest in a century, the level of good faith governance is at a literal all-time low, and half of the country prioritizes what they are told over what they see and hear. If you have a remote understanding of fascist ideology, you shouldn't take any issue with pointing out the clear fascism of Trumpism and the fascist direction of Republican politics.

What brand of magazine?

Cause if they're Hexmag I don't want them. Those things aren't trash but I've never had one NOT have feeding issues/drop free issues.
