No I don't know if that would be very helpful because my insomnia is a symptom of other issues that can't go away. Have you?
Ive suffered from insomnia my entire life. I used to literally stay up for days even as a baby young child. Nothing helps and I’m not quite willing (or ready) for sleep meds, as my experience with just OTC ones is not great. The lack of sleep actually causes me to eventually crash, so I do try to at the very least rest for 15-30 periods when ever I get the chance, I just close my eyes and breath, trying to shut my brain off and think about nothing, just a blank black board with nothing on it

@Unknown Pleasures Is credible, never lied to me. Asking something is not accusing, but I get why you would think that. I take a lot of things very literally so if that makes me a bad person or a moron in your eyes so be it. I am convinced he did not try to plot to kill anyone if it makes you feel better.

Cheers

Lol it was a joke. I said plotting murder should be between a single yellow and a double yellow punishment. I hope you all are just being silly. I guess this is how bad rumors start.

Let's pretend it's true to add to forum lore.

That’s a good technique thank you. I’m sorry you deal with that.

I sleep like a baby.

Even as a kid my mother would take me everywhere to parties and concerts and stuff. I would still just sleep like nothing was going on around me.

It is what it is, what I don’t like is when I get advice that is not useful in anyway, like just use a sleep eyemask, count sheep, etc... people that don’t deal with not getting sleep (that’s not self inflicted) do not understand.

I don’t know anything about baseball so it’s been incredible to watch a player getting in trouble for hitting a home run this week.

Part of the "appeal" is the self-enforcement of unwritten rules of the game. You don't stop and admire a home run, you return the favor of a beaned batter, and drug cheats or suspected drug cheats get snubbed for hall of Fame voting. I think the incident you are referring to is running up the score in an out of hand game by swinging on a three and 0 count where proper etiquette in such circumstance with such score is to take the pitch for a walk or a strike.

It happens a bit in basketball too, like stealing the ball in the last few seconds of an out of hand game and scoring. Just in baseball you have the occasional "brawl" where EVERYONE on a team comes out on the field and a few of them pretend to seriously fight while everyone else stands around and talks about what they're having for dinner.

To be fair, great defense in basketball is much harder to tangibly measure than great offense. Defensive box plus minus much less indicative tham offensive. You really need to watch games more so than see stat sheets to know who the great defensive players are because so much is about positioning, presence, and forcing missed shots, none of which show up well on stat sheets. Blocks and defensive boards and steals only matter so much.

I agree with that and what i said about Davis and embiid comes from watching them a lot.

When I was in 5th grade my school had something called zoo school where for a semester you would have your classes every day at the zoo in classrooms built there. Part of the assignments was picking an animal and studying it and I had my heart set on river otter obviously because that's my favorite animal but we picked based on last name and the person a few before me picked river otter. I started crying, I was really upset. I ended up with Llamas.
I just learned that otters are from the same (taxonomic) family as weasels, badgers, ferrets, etc. Neato.
