I enjoy them all but would admit the 5th season is my least favorite as I just didn't care too much about the newspaper/journalists
Season 4 is actually probably among my favorites partially cause of the scene where the school is talking about the standardized test and how Prez bucks the required teaching of the test to still teach his kids his way.

The 5th season also was the one season without a large chunk of the writing staff as they went to other projects so it suffers from quality that way.

The fake serial killer thing would never have happened if the main writers from the prior 4 seasons were around. At least, it wouldn't have been such a huge central plot point.
I didn't know that, but it makes a lot of sense. They did a great job with the ending at least and wrapped things up well.

It is my second favorite season because of the school setting and the kids. Their stories really resonated with me.

Never seen the wire before.
As for breaking bad goes, that show is for basement dwellers who still live with thier parents collecting unemployment checks each week. Shit show.
I liked breaking bad and I’ve never collected unemployment checks or lived in a basement.

I do think I like better call Saul better though.

@Lowmanproblems @HockeyBjj

I never liked the show. Thought had so many bad actor's on it. Aaron Paul is such a terrible actor. Bryan Cranston is ok actor. The rest of the actress and actress's are so bad.

Season 4 is my favorite for a lot of reasons but mostly the group of Dukie, Michael, Randy and Namond is such a poignant jumping off point to show the branches of trauma that are so integrated into life as a Black American.

Omar is actually one of the least interesting characters in the Wire because he's the only one who exists outside of the reality of the show. I would say there are at the very least ten better candidates for best on that show alone starting with Bubbles.
No no. There are people who are real life Omar's. I've been robbed enough and heard enough stories from other dealers when I was a kid to know, they're real

FTR, I'm still Team Walter, because I don't count Season 5 as happening.

As far as great drama characters go, Keri Russell's character in The Americans is hugely underrated. Very complicated and well-portrayed.

Only saw the first season which I did like.

I'm finishing up a rewatch of Breaking Bad now but I should do this next

If I had made this list of just who I think are the best characters (and was allowed to exclude seasons they were written horribly for) I think my list would be (in no order cause I’m not putting too much thought into it

Haley from Modern Family (till she gets back with Dylan, loved her with Andy)
Beth from walking Dead
Sansa Stark
Beverly Goldberg
Red Forman
Everyone from Roseanne
Jackie from the 70s Show (except she doesn’t end up with Fez)
Angel from Dexter

And I’m surely forgetting some

I don't mean to say people like Omar don't exist just that I thought he stood out on the show, not in an entirely bad way but it was distracting to me.

Aaron Paul is wonderful, I had been so upset when he left Big Love on HBO and thought I’d never see him in anything again, was so happy to see him in breaking bad. My favorite are the cousins though, and they never say anything, and I love Nacho and Kim on BCS

Richie Harrow was also a facing beast in Season 3 of Boardwalk Empire.... talk about a show that shit the bed at the end so the Winter could go make one season of Vinyl lol.
