My definition is, not accepting accountability for your actions and/or inactions.
Blaming your failures on other people or "peoples".

Making individual, poor (dropping out of school, impregnating a few women in High School) and sometimes criminal decisions, and then blaming others for where you are in life.

Tell me Jack, where you are in life....did this happen by luck, or good fortune? or did you work your ass off?

I don't see how you can apply that to Coates and not apply it to Murray or generally how that doesn't apply to almost everyone.

Honestly, where am I am in life happened by good fortune. Talent, having a lot of great people influencing and guiding me through life, connections helping me get started in my career, having great mentors, etc. I grew up with people who didn't have those advantages, work way harder, and are in much worse positions in a lot of ways. Almost every day, I think about how lucky I've been, and the days I don't, I consider it a failing on my part.

LOL. and now you're a liar. can't say I'm surprised. We're done here.
I would expect that when you get to the end of your incoherent conclusion that is the end, yes. You are very quick with the name calling though. A trait that doesn't surprise me.

Omg one is Hawaiian and one is Samoan!

Haoles I swear...

Apparently the insurance from the store where I slipped called while I was napping and are going to call me back within the hour.......I’ll let y’all know how it goes

I think this is one of the end goals of framing things as "PC". When a Black person (Coates) speaks out against an injustice it is victimhood. When a white person (Murray) does they are standing up to the "PC police". When you view things through the lens of a culture war it's easy to find yourself in these hypocritical conundrums.

I think maybe just to see how I’m doing?
And you will tell them how horrible your quality of life has been since your slip at their store, which was due to the store's negligence. Only cash can repair your life and restore your quality of life.

The difference between the example above regarding Murray is that he's merely making an observation about what pejoratives are acceptable and not acceptable in everyday conversation.
if he were to say, " my book isn't a best seller because people think I"m a redneck!!" then, yes, I would agree...that he is fully embracing victim ideology.

and great for you, I'm sure a lot of your success came about from knowing the right people, but you would agree that you put a tremendous amount of work into it as well, correct?

you didn't coast through life having things handed to you like ....a paris hilton, right?

I mean I’m still in pain, but I don’t want to say this was a life changing accident, it’s too soon to say. (And I don’t think it will be)

Oh but is a life changing accident. You may never have the same mobility and quality of life you had prior to the fall.

See, this is ironic once again. You make lists of people who don't agree with you and label them. To say I am the one who is adherent to my worldview is very rich. You wield the word offended as a weapon against those who might disagree with you. You think casting my reaction to ignorance or racism as offense paints me as weak. I am not offended, I am tired.

Well said. I'd also add that knowing ahead of time how someone will answer a question is not inherently a critique of the answer (this was always the downfall of the "NPC" chirp) - just like you wouldn't ask what 1+1= and then laugh because you "knew you conformist traitors would all say 2!"

It consistently amazes me how much time is spent talking about everything but the right (or best) answer to questions and problems. Beyond the context of this thread even - my gf is doing her MBA right now and 90% of the skills she's learning are narrative and spin. I asked her the other day if she could tell me if a company was like, actually for serious a good investment and she didn't understand the question.

I shudder to imagine what a group of such people in a room together locked in disagreement would look like.

Yes, I think all of these reductive responses to common sense such as 'NPC', 'SJW', or 'Victim Complex' are just ways of getting around actually having to engage with the rather obvious conclusion.
