I mean, I understand if one is the bread winner, there is children to raise etc...but if both partners make up the same amount of money (give or take 10 grand), then separate bank accounts would be most optimal for a healthy, sane relationship.

It’ll sound selfish but then going from 75k cutoff to50 and now 40 on the stimulus shit is just..... head scratching.

chances are if you’re single and making less than 60k in most places you’re living paycheck to paycheck in some way.

These dipshits never worked real jobs and actually struggled silver spoon having motherfuckers.

Donegal is a mix region of majority Irish and a large minority of Ulster Scot settlers. Because you also mentioned Glasgow I guessed you would have been from there or have a connection. Also a lot of English settled in Northern Ireland as well. Much smaller number than Scots but these people held most of the power and land for the centuries before independence.

I have many relatives who emigrated to America but most have lost all contact. I’m sure they’ll claim Irish even though they’re fully English lol.

and yea, I'm at that "phase out point" too. I only got a few hundred dollars for my stimulus. lol

ahhhh

To give a bit more context my one great grandfather (with English surname) abandoned my great grandmother during the great depression. As a result she never identified with any English ancestry and only identified with the Irish part

I dug into mine using immigration papers and the limited stuff I could get from Romania and the Czech Republic. Pretty sure my Romania portion is full of Romani and people that worked for Vlad. The Czech side is a muddled mess cause I can’t tell if they were Hungarian and became Czech when the country was created and they only appeared when France handed Normandy to Rollo.

(regarding my earleir post)

this single mom, got laid off...worked two minimum wage jobs, and did Door dash and instacart to supplement her income. Instacart income is reported on a 1099 MISC, (now a 1099-NEC)..
when people start jobs like this, they with hold nothing for federal with holding. (like your standard W-2).
long story short...she had 15K of additional income with no federal with holding. she had no idea why she was owing the IRS.

essentially...she was busting her ass to be broke.
