I don’t really get annoyed with many people on here and it would be really hard to rank people after the top 5 or 10. I’d say my biggest pet peeve is when people are vetting what I’m talking about by making me signal something a certain way and if I don’t, they are unable to get past it. I wouldn’t put that on any one poster and I also think it’s way worse in RL than here cause we already all pretty much have an idea on each other’s views.

Both are gimmicks, yeah, but one gimmick is in presentation and the other is in substance. Other than saying "Hiya" at the beginning and "Sincerely" at the end, his post substance was usually very reasonable and not particularly ideological or partisan.

Personally, I never really got what about that annoyed people. He could be passive aggressive instead of active aggressive, like myself, in confronting bad faith or bigotry, but there's nothing wrong with that.

I mean, IGIT could talk more about different topics for sure but I never got much out of it. That’s not necessarily a knock on him, we just didn’t have good exchanges. With Rip, I usually could get a conversation cause he’d default to “I don’t know about that, Lead” which isn’t always bad but he’d do it every time.

I don't really get the soap-opera-ish stuff. To me, an issue is an issue. Just because you were a jackass in a previous thread doesn't mean I can't address your points in this one. But some people are like, "my hurt feelings last month are the most important issue in the world and the only thing I'm able to talk about from now on!!!!"

There is a good truck that I swear follows me from jobsite to jobsite all summer long and they serve am amazing ahi tacos . I get em everytime I see him

There was a place close to my house that had the best ahi tacos. $5 at happy hour, which is a screamin' deal here. The chef left, they changed the ingredients, and the place went out of business. :mad:

I blame the loss of the chef for their demise, although it could have been the crappy service. That dude was awesome. He opened up a poke joint in another location, then covid hit.

There’s that too but I was talking more about posters I haven’t engaged with yet or they haven’t read any prior posts from me before and make a lot of further assumptions off just the single post. I don’t think I usually get grudges but I usually try hard to argue where it would make the person have the easiest time changing their mind. There’s artificial walls that can be put up if they think it’s my idea vs their idea and you see a lot of people double down because of that. I means it’s widespread really since Trumps style of politics where you can’t concede at all and have to punch back harder.
 
Did anyone know how old IGIT claimed to be?

If he was like 65 that could have been his legit persona.

I wouldn't have said that 2 days ago but after finding out my Dad's long lost cousin wrote him a letter and sent it to him via USPS to ask if he wanted to be Facebook Friends ..... I realize the Boomers are made different when it comes to online stuff lol
