There is a small part of me that wonders if some of the difference we are seeing today vs what we saw in Portland is a direct result of being called out on what happened in Portland.

<YeahOKJen>yea those police really respond when you tell them they are being heavy handed.... you have larpers in the capitol building, guns being carried in a place where they are outlawed, and you think the police dont want to overstep the mark..trumpers have been saying since they lost they are gonna create a shitshow, well...heres act one.

They should just impeach at this point. It’s functionally meaningless but he’s absolutely responsible for this happening. The vote straight down the line with the people who wanted to contest the vote. There shouldn’t be any blurred line at this point. Those in the GOP need to completely denounce or anchor themselves to that sunk ship. I can’t wait to see how Cruz and Hawley try to portray this and distance themselves.

This type of behavior was normalized by Democrats last summer though.

And I didn’t stand for it then either. I was arguing with people on here about basic things like looting is bad.
 
I am not sure which pisses me off more right now: the ones defending this situation, or the ones both siding it.
