No, you have to be in pretty good shape to do this kind of thing. So that's big pass and than crossing those crevices on ladders that's a no go for me.
Not with the overcrowding problems. Half the Everest disasters involve competent climbers dying as they were delayed behind inexperienced dreamers who shouldn't be on the mountain in the first place.
Since I'm already in that second category, we're assuming I've got a team of god-level Sherpas dragging my ass up there, I wouldn't want other shit climbers on the mountain increasing the danger even more.
I don't think science has come up with anything to mitigate frostbite for someone that sweats as much as I do in cold temperatures yet. It would be a game of removing, then adding back layers constantly and lots of time drying my socks or my toes are fucking toast.
No. It's not an issue of equipment or costs. You need to be a very experienced climber and hiker. Without that experience you'll just get yourself or others killed.
I've done most of my bucket list of adventure activities and do not really have any fear in that way. BUt i prefer activities where you have some degree of control over whether you live or die by being smart and preparing and doing the right things. Sure they may still be dangerous but you should be ok.
With Everest you are just rolling the dice a deadly storm does not blow in and there is nothing you can do about it. So that is not my type of adventure risk.
