Would you be ok with Shavkat stomping Usman knees?

Sportsmanship is fine, but I think we should ban ALL techniques because someone can get seriously hurt...smh.

Fuck it, we should do the USC ...the Ultimate Staring Championship

Yes, yes, very clever

Well, not Shavkat fault that Usman has been very open about his bad knees. Going for "hey it's a major weakness, please dont exploit" is kinda dumb

Agree 10,000%. No fighter is responsible to "be cool" about his opponent's weaknesses.

Legal or illegal. Decide. If it's legal than go and break those knees. Is it legal to take steroids ?

Usman goes in the fight knowing the risks.
An oblique kick is no more dangerous than a heel hook or a kneebar

I think this is in legal but not ethical category

The goal is to win the fight, not try to beat your opponent in the safest way possible. If somebody is actively trying to knock me into a seizure hell yeah I'd kick their knees. I'd fucking blast those knees.

I've never seen someone get koed from a oblique kick. I've yet to see someone even stumble from on. So to formulate a strategy to target his knees would be a dumb one.

Also the little crybabies calling it a "career ender" can kiss my ass, because I have been watching this shit since its inception and can't recall a single instance of a career being ended by that technique.
Certainly it has the potential to end a career.

But so do alot of things.

never understood the problem with oblique kicks that some people have...it's in the rules, it's a legit technique and it's a fucking fight...is it really just because it's a technique used by jon jones?!
I understand it.

Some people simply dont like it, consider it a cheap move, almost like kicking someone in the balls lol

But its in the rules and tbf the way Khalil used it was absolutley tremendous.

If you are fighting someone who is known for using them, you have to adapt your strategy.

The thing is, alot of fighters also agree it should be banned, and not even the ones that ever were even hit by them yet.

So, I DO see their side on it.

My view is this. Im OK with it, but if they took it away, I wouldnt cry the blues too much either.

If Shavkat would fight Usman, he absolutley should target his knees. Leon Edwards sure did.

Terry Etim got ended by a wheel kick...where are the cries to ban that technique?

People are so selective on what they allow to agitate their vaginas sir.

Personally never liked Usman. He’s the closest thing to a sore winner.

In saying that those kicks are nasty and not my cup of tea.

Nahhh

A spinning wheelkick knockout is very difficult to do

Cheezin someone's knees. Not so much. its like the argument against headbutts almost.

I dont call for them to be banned. Its a legit technique. I do understand why people dont like them.

If they got banned it wouldnt change too much.

Why stop there?
Eye pokes/rakes/gouging
Snapping peoples fingers
Knees directly to the spine
Soccer kick the cup
Wrestlers should be able to put their fingers into peoples noses and pull as hard as they can
If you drop somebody just jump on their head

Oblique kicks are easy to abuse and can be career altering, shouldn’t be allowed.
