Would Nick Diaz Have Beaten Conor both times?

I dont make Nick out to be a loser,I didnt say that. But he is inconsistent and his flaws got more and more easy to exploit as the game changed. To me Condit made him look ridiculous. What does losing decisions to two goats mean? should he get a cookie?
Lol Condit made himself look ridiculous especially with how he hyped up his die hard style. If anything it showed the amount of respect he has for Nick’s stand up. Nicks decision losses vs two goats is significant considering the amount of people that have absolutely been embarrassed by Anderson Silva and considering he fought GSP years after he was supposed to.

Isn't this a prime vs. prime conversation though? After all its the topic of the thread.

Nick hasn't won a fight in 10 years but he hasn't fought in 6 years. so isn't it fairer to say he didn't win a fight in the last 4 years he was actually an active fighter? It's like saying Matt Hughes hasn't won a fight in 11 years...

Also going to decision against a heavily juiced Anderson Silva isn't really a negative. The Condit fight was a travesty with Condit playing the running man and since when is losing to prime GSP a knock?

Nick was on an 11 fight win streak going into the fight with Condit 10 of those being finishes.
I didnt say losing to GSP was a knock, but people in here want to credit him for just taking the fight with GSP

Sure Nick def has alot of the same qualities that gave Conor trouble against Nate, and he just might be the meanest fighter in the game, which would mean no mercy if he got Conor hurt...but we seen guys lesser fighters than Conor give Nick trouble too,so i dont see it as a forgone conclusion that Conor would def lose just cos Nate beat him once and had close second fight

This guy gets it. Lol idk why people don’t care to pay attention to the quality of Nick’s opponents. Condit literally changes his entire fighting style to beat Nick it was so ridiculous.

who cares what he said. That shit was a smart gameplan. Totally exploited Nick's movement limitations/

And regarding the Silva loss...

All it did was expose how viable it is to win an MMA fight with point fighting. It’s not unlike Jon Fitch lay n pray style.

Yeah but that fight was nick's to win. He played around way too much in that one

You are right he did. When a guy with the nickname "Natural Born Killer" is so afraid of his opponent he won't actually fight him but is rather content to coast and rack up points you have to wonder who the winner was. Condit lost a ton of fans in that fight.

Hell he was far more aggressive fighting GSP than he was against Diaz and we can all agree that GSP was a far better fighter than Nick.

Its actually nothing like that. If you can hit the guy and they cant hit you, that is alot harder than just laying on someone.

Man whatever, its about winning, and its on Nick to not be so easily defeated.

Was it though? Silva was juiced off the charts and Nick hadn't fought in almost 2 years. Pretty much everyone was picking Silva to win that one. He'd had one bad loss and one fluke loss to Weidman but otherwise had been unstoppable up to that point.

And Nick was trying to goad Silva into actually fighting him instead of dancing fighting.

Yeah it was a weird fight from both of them. I just thought Nick could have went after it more. I havent rewatched that one though, and i know because of anderson's style its not always so easy to throw hands on him

Easily

Nick beats Conor 100/100 times.

Such a shit matchup for Conor. Nick smokes him like a blunt.

So you were happy with Condit's performance in that fight? Maybe you should have listened to the crowd booing at him...

I was! I was not swayed at all by the audience. I thought it was a smart move!
