Would Nick Diaz Have Beaten Conor both times?

I'm incline to say Yes.

I think Nick hits harder than Nate, has better wrestling, a better chin.

Basically just a little bit better at everything. He was a Strikeforce Champ and Fought GSP.

If it had been the Diaz Trilogy against Conor, i think Nick would have wasted him both times.

By knockout though, not submission.

He might have ended all the Conor hype right then and there, before he even got to Mayweather.

saying you hit harder than nate isnt saying much cause either guy is a power striker.

there was no way nick would taken the fight on 10 days notice i think he was still dealing with the whole usada thing.

Nick is just too inconsistent. He beats gomi and then barely gets by Mike Aina in his next fight.
Kind of need to make up your mind dude. You were saying, at the time they would have fought which I would guess means when Nick was near the end. Now you are cherry picking one off old matches to fit the narrative.

I am just being honest here. Do you honestly think that 165 pound Conor would compete with the people Nick did through his career?

I really wonder sometimes if people truly understand how difficult it is to move up weight classes for guys who don't belong there at the highest levels. Not meaning the hardcore weight cutters mind you but you get the point. Nick is just a bigger man with a very bad skillset for Conor.

How about Paul Daley, does Conor hit harder than him? How about even an old Anderson Silva? Think Conor has anything more to offer than him? Think he hits harder than Lawler? How would he fair with Condit? Seriously.

Well its the same as anyone else is doing. People even today think Nick should come back and fight whoever is the top guy

I am not advocating for that at all. If he is coming back to make a big payday fighting a smaller dude with a suspect gas tank and no ground game then ya, he should. Then ride off into the sunset. If he is coming back to make a run at the belt in his own respective weightclas, well, I would have concerns about that.

Hold on.

Eddie Alvarez win is equal to Robbie Lawler

Jose Aldo win is similar to BJ Penn.

Also Nick finished guys like Tibau and was a defending champion in strike force. Defended many times. Conor never did that.

Conor made way more money but Nick has fought the elite in MMA his entire life.
Every now and then I forget that Nick Diaz fans are even more delusional than Conor fans.

Oh God, Nick is a nightmare matchup for a one dimensional guy like Conor. Iron chin, endless cardio, superb grappler, hits harder than Nate...would be easy work.

"Generally I go in and I fucking show somebody their life. It's up to them if they want to deal with it."

McRunner wouldn't have been able to deal with it and he sure as hell wouldn't have shown up for a rematch.

In other words, what I meant to say, Nick would let the early storm pass and smoke Conor like he did with Gomi.
So Gomi and Conor are the same fighter now? lol

No

Just because Conor lost his last fight doesn't mean Nick Diaz would have beaten him twice.

People really make Nick into this mythical figure and seem to forget his last win was 10 yrs ago.

Nate might not be the best fighter in the world, but he was (at the time that he fought Conor) and is still able to win fights. Or even take fights.
This post is terrible. He lost decisions to two GOATS and one of them was against a rounded LHW at MW. The only other loss during that time was a decision against Prime Condit who point fought him! People really make Nick to be some type of loser when he’s actually very stiff competition and got robbed of his opportunity to fight GSP when he had lots of momentum and was in form. Stop trying to push this narrative like he’s not an elite fighter.

Prime Nick yes, he hits harder than Nate and has better boxing. He traps better against the cage and has better body to head combinations. Stylistically Nick's style is always going to be a tough fight for Conor. Long range/reach, great boxing long range and on the inside, and a granite chin. Conor wouldn't be able to KO/TKO and would be forced to fight a full fight and Nick has the cardio/conditioning advantage. Plus the grappling advantage as well.

I mean no one can really argue against this period .

I dont make Nick out to be a loser,I didnt say that. But he is inconsistent and his flaws got more and more easy to exploit as the game changed. To me Condit made him look ridiculous. What does losing decisions to two goats mean? should he get a cookie?

Isn't this a prime vs. prime conversation though? After all its the topic of the thread.

Nick hasn't won a fight in 10 years but he hasn't fought in 6 years. so isn't it fairer to say he didn't win a fight in the last 4 years he was actually an active fighter? It's like saying Matt Hughes hasn't won a fight in 11 years...

Also going to decision against a heavily juiced Anderson Silva isn't really a negative. The Condit fight was a travesty with Condit playing the running man and since when is losing to prime GSP a knock?

Nick was on an 11 fight win streak going into the fight with Condit 10 of those being finishes.
