Would Mighty Mouse win UFC 1 tournament?

mighty mouse speed so fast. the mouse by strikes over almost anyone in earlier ufc's

Kurt Angle could do better than Ronda Rousey. The degree of respect she gets if she were to fight a male fighter is ridiculous. No disrespect to the former Olympian but Shamrock would destroy Rousey. MM, however, could and would win. And he doesn't get enough respect around here due to his size.

lol no.

Fighters haven't improved much, just their imagination that they're somehow better now.

I mean a worse than prime Mark Hunt (who wasn't even good in his prime) in basically dominating the UFC, the so called big league, and that ancient Shamrok guy could probably beat up a few people right now at age 60 with the exact same skillset he has from 1990 lol

This is dumb, Mighty Mouse would win that tournament with ease

MM vs Emmauel Yarborough---now hat would be comical

So now you're saying a prime Kazushi Sakuraba would lose to MM too?

FFS man.. I'm done here. That's so fucking stupid I can't even argue against it. Go watchSaku fight Igor, or Vitor. Dude the game hasn't evolved that much at all, and Royce could hang

This thread reminds me of the movie Idiocracy. It's one of the dumbest threads I've seen in a long time. The flavor of the month cycle perpetuates. In five or ten years the newer fans will think Cain, JDS, Aldo etc. were cans.

Mighty Mouse would look like a terminator from the future if he went into the UFC tournament, yes he'd win.

Ken would probably be his toughest fight, and I think he'd out cardio and eventually land enough to take ken out

All the male champs stomp. Ronda gets beat. People only think of the skill difference. But it was bareknuckle, close to no rules back then. Ronda would get her hair pulled off and a knuckle to the face would hurt her bad. Plus shes only 145 lbs out of camp. No way in hell she beats those 200+ lb guys. There were a few muay thai guys who would drop her in the blink of an eye.

NHB rules favor the tougher fighter. The fighters today are protected by no knees to a grounded opponent and tons of other rules.

I think too many people judge Royce on his performance against Hughes. He was 39 years old at the time.. cmon. Dude was old as hell to be fighting.. especially for someone that only does BJJ. It's not like wrestling where you can still control where the fight goes later into age.

Also, just picture MM vs Hughes NOW, let alone 8 years ago. He would have gotten beat up way worst than Royce, who honestly showed very little progression throughout his career IMO. I know people will say his standup improved leaps and bounds.. but it really didn't. Royce would use his size and get a submission.. or just muscle MM to the ground considering he's atleast 30 pounds bigger.. which is a shitload when both guys are under 200 pounds.

There's a reason you don't see 140 pound guys winning open weight BJJ tournaments. And Royce was a legit blackbelt.

Even if he couldn't get him down right away.. how the fuck does Mighty Mouse win? There's not a time limit. Royce could actually take a pretty good punch from guys way bigger than Mighty Mouse. Wtf? You think he submits him or something......

I swear you guys are stupid as fuck sometimes

39 isn't that old. It isn't leaps and bounds worse than 35 either. I've seen lots of fighters 39 or older do a hell of a lot better. Maybe he just wasn't that good? That's why his family paired him off with people like art immerson? It was clever marketing.

i really don't think MM could make it through 3 fighters in 1 night in a virtually no-rules no weight class competition. his cardio is the only thing he has going for him, and if he happens to get partially mauled by at least 1 of them good luck continuing to the next opponent.

hell no. hed beat a couple guys but hes just too small

Ok, so he has beaten a couple(2) of guys. He's now in the final.

Who is it that will now undoubtedly beat him? Royce? Hell no he could do it with his limited striking and relatively small size advantage. MM would keep him at bay easily I reckon. Shamrock would have a better chance. Gordeau and Smith would probably get grappled.

MM was 7 when UFC 1 happened. I know he's a good fighter now, but come on

A 144 pound MM would win UFC 1. If a 170 pound Royce could; a 144 pound MM could as well.

I agree.

He cuts weight for 145 division he prob would be in fighting shape pre water cut at about 155-160.
He would win the tourney.

Also ppl forget that Royce fought Hideo Tokoro (a natural 135lb fighter) to a draw at k-1 Dynamite in 2005.

Hell no. Gerard Gordeau would've plucked out his eye balls and eaten them... and it would've been legal...

^^^THis.

Also at 6'5" and a willingness to "cheat" at a level greater than Jon Jones could ever hope to strive for.........he would beat MM horribly. Probably ending his career and ability to see for the rest of his life.

MM vs Emmauel Yarborough---now hat would be comical

That was UFC 2. He would have no chance in hell of winning UFC 2. UFC 1 had less quality guys than UFC 2 even.
