Did he have a high enough fight IQ and great enough skills to do it?

He beats Shogun in my opinion.

Rashad might have actually been his true rival had he not been taking peds, assuming Jones has juiced his whole career.

No.

According to Covington (his college roomate), he was abusing steroids back then. Might never have gotten his foot through the door of the MMA industry without PEDs.

A question we will never know the answer to unfortunately.

Juiceheads whole career is a giant * now.

Listen, steroids isn't the reason why he absolutely wrecked a guy like Rua (and I love shogun)..

How clean was he during Gus fight?
That I'd like to know

No. Impossible question

He would’ve still dominated shogun, rampage and Evans but would lose his belt to gus later on

According to cops Colby was a snitch even back then, and he still went on to achieve relative boomerang fame.

Yeah, his IQ and skills were that good. But he's still an idiot. Cormier even said as much

Have you not heard? He didnt train for the Gus fight, fought clean, and still somehow showed an incredible cardio in that fight. I mean thats what his nuthuggers will say.

probably yes

genuine talent and fight iq is there, ped's wont change that

they will allow him to train harder, longer, recover faster and otherwise improve his skills at a faster pace.

Thing is, Jon was so insanely ahead of the pack at all points of his career. He was partying, doing coke during fight camp and presumably fighting at a fraction of his full potential for many of his fights and still dominated. Not to mention he is naturally insanely physically gifted for the division.

I think without a doubt he still would've been champ

also worth acknowledging that most fighters are on the juice. Most

Jones doesn't think so and I agree.
