Would Conor Mcgregor beat "motivated Bj Penn"?

He worked with them for the first Frankie fight. They just left one month early. Conditioning wise it wouldn't have made a difference. I think he was with them in 2013 and 2017 with Gary. Marv had a neurological disease. He couldn't train anyone then. I think he died recently.

Marv did die recently. Penn did stop training with him a month before the first Frankie fight. You're correct. He was not in his recollection.

Still, Penn was robbed in that first Frankie fight with Marv. Without him, he got outworked and looked listless. He fed Frankie that jab in their first fight all night and defended twelve of thirteen takedowns. I don't want to go down this road, lol.

When Penn was at his peak. Mcgregor was making his MMA debut. Mcgregor uses a few of BJ's moves too. Mcgregor came up studying BJ Penn. I am honestly glad they never fought because we can still make the argument that Penn will win.
and we couldn't make that same argument if he beat up an over the hill bj penn?

I get it. It's a sore spot.

The Penn who fought Sanchez? There's no version of Conor that we've seen who can win that fight. The Penn who half-assed his camps and still managed to stay at the top? That's at least interesting.

well considering a high school state champ could outwrestle conor mcgregor, and prime bj takes every shot mcgregor can throw (while bj continuously licks his or his opponents blood). prime bj takes this 10/10 times. come on people mcgregor isnt that good at mma, he is the goat at selling himself. and he clearly sold himself to a lot of delusional people.
Conor is definitely an excellent fighter, he's just not as good as his fans thought. You can't beat Jose Aldo and not be good. You can't beat Mendes and not be good.
He's a fantastic hype-machine, but he's still lethal to most fighters and still belongs in the top-15.

right now?!? of course. bj hasn't been worth a damn for 12 years! conor isn't what he used to be but he's still a solid fighter. much younger than BJ too. if anyone actually thinks BJ could beat conor, they should be banned from this site.

I’d probably give Penn the nod if this fight happened tomorrow. He’s just way better at the things Conor is not great at.

The only thing I’d give Conor is the power on the feet. But, he’s not the same guy he was 6 years ago. And Penn is never going to forget what to do on the ground.

I’d actually like to see that fight. My pick would probably be Penn by decision or later stoppage.. Rd 4-5.

never said he wasnt good. said he isnt that good. which is exactly what you posted "he's just not as good as his fans thought" so as i said, he is not that good. matt serra isnt that good of an mma fighter but......shit happened.

no one said right now. in fact the title of the thread is "motivated bj penn" pretty sure getting knocked out in bars (penn) or failure to knock out 80 year olds in bars (mcgregor) isnt what qualifies as prime material.

Two of the biggest dipshits in the sport - the love affair with these sub human losers needs to end.

its a good one, BJ would obviously beat him on the ground and BJ had some good boxing.

Think BJ has better shot getting him down and subbing him but either could win. That would have been awesome to see.

Wonder how big that fight would have been back then, could that have been first UFC to 2 mill buys?

Conor would probably due well in the first round

Conor probably wins a decision if he doesn't get choked out

Penn took down and out grappled Fitch before he gassed. Rocked Hughes, took his back and submitted him. Questionably beat Georges in their first fight. Took flush punches from prime Rory and didn't get dropped long after his expiration date. He would beat Conor into a living death and you don't even need to ask Ken Shamrock.
You obviously love BJ! I agree with you though because he is a nightmare matchup for Conor

Whoops. Read your post wrong. My bad.

You might want to sit this one out. The adults are talking.
Fuck off asshole.

You can fact check if you want but if you're going to be condescending I'm going to treat you like a little bitch boy every time I see you post.
