Worst UFC cut of all time?

Fitch. Would have liked to have seen Fitch vs Condit and Fitch vs Lawler.

He wasn't officially cut though.

He was supposed to get a title shot and had just signed a new contract. Instead of giving Werdum his promised title shot they gave it to Brock who was 1-1 in the UFC and only had 3 career MMA fights.

They put Werdum against JDS instead and the rest is history. They tried to keep him but slash his pay from the brand new contract that he signed. He ended up signing to Strikeforce for more money.

There's no difference between a fighter being cut versus not being resigned. Fighters can get cut at any time and both parties can renegotiate at any time. Its just semantics.

Leonard Garcia... Dude always put on a good show, was in 2 of the greatest brawls of all time vs Huerta and Zombie... Got cut because of online bitching, instantly retired... He should have been allowed to go out on the Mexico card... It was blatant disrespect to treat him that way.

Cody McKenzie is another victim of online bitching... That and some terrible matchmaking... An entertaining, unique, and popular fighter... Surely it's better to have guys like him in the ranks, even if they have a few holes in their game?

To be fair he was 3-4 in his time in the UFC.

You're right about the matchmaking though - putting him against Mendes in his FW debut was throwing him to the wolves.

Did he get cut though or did he leave because the UFC tried to lock him in for peanuts since he just lost? Most guys start on a 3 fight contract so I'm assuming he just chose not to sign

Any top 10 fighter.
It just shows that it really is the ultimate fucking clownship!

Is this sarcasm?

Those two were some of the worst fighters in the ufc and they were in the ufc for a long time considering their awfulness.

he was entertaining. his interviews where funny as shit and he wasnt a kiss ass to Zuffa. I dont care if a fighter is an absolute world beater. Sometimes they are fucking cool. if he wouldnt have been such a pot head he would have had a good streak going
I disagree on pretty much everything about riddle as I found him to be one of the most annoying and stupid people I've seen. I think pot is a medicine but can't stand people like him who think the world revolves around getting high like it's cool. Stoners are annoying and are the reason this medicine is still illegal.

ok so why are you telling me about it. I dont care what you think about him or medicine

Cody maybe, but Leonard was a solid journeyman... They were both fun and could always give you something to talk about... I miss both.

Shields. Cut on a decision loss to someone like Lombard, after beating Maia and Woodley is just fucked up.

Add in being an idiot and showing up to fight with no shorts, going to the mall to get basketball shorts, then not even bothering to take the tag off pre-fight.

Nobody mentioned Phil Davis? He was the best ranked of all of them before the axe

Fitch - Great fighter. IMHO part it came down to him voicing his anger over fighter pay. He was tough as nails and I thought there was a number of fights for him at WW still. Would have been a gate keeper.

Davis - odd. Had all the tools just needed to open up a bit more though. Athletic monster

Daley - It was terrible what he did to Koscheck but after the fake 'knee to the head' incident I would have gave him one too. His kill or be killed attitude would be great in the UFC. Plus I'd like to see someone get under his skin at a press conference (i reckon he'd clear house with wild punches in every direction).

Or maybe it's this guy actually...
