A half-hearted 20 second Joe Rogan interview. Michelle Waterson literally got a bigger send-off after her last fight and loss.

It was blatant that they set him up purely as a lamb to the slaughter for Jones's legacy, while it seemed they barely cared about Stipe's.

Waterson and Esparza both announced publicly that it was their last fight. I know it was no surprise that he retired, but did he tell the UFC he was going to?
 
You simps literally hadn't seen the guy fight for 4 years while he worked as a full-time fireman. He was already functionally retired.

And some little video package isn't a definitive end to his fighting career anyway - who knows, he may take another freak fight in his 50s like we just saw Tyson do.

He's been de facto retired the last 3 years and as soon as he lost it was plain obvious this would be his last time inside the octogan. They could have had a little something prepared, I'm surprised Joe barely reacted to his retirement announcement tbh.

It was just blatant the "GOAT HW" marketing was purely to hype up Jones and really had nothing to do with Sipe.

Fucking Michelle Waterson, who did next to nothing in the UFC got an emotional farewell tribute same with Esparza who was boring and let’s be real nobody cared about, got great farewells. Meanwhile Stipe got a Pat on the back and cya later. Fuck you UFC. Yes I’m salty about this.

I didn't understand any of that 20 seconds, so not sure what benefit 5 minutes would have had.

I think they should definitely put out a highlight reel on 310 though to commemorate an awesome career!

UFC hates Stipe.
 
I mean, I love Stipe and wish him the best in life but nobody forced him to partake in this clown show. Also, just like every "retired" fighter he'll be back in there sometime soon.
 
For what it's worth. Waterson likely ain't making the hall of fame. So that was their last chance to really do anything for her. Stipe is a guaranteed first Ballot. Likely sometime next year. And they'll have him at a show for it, and likely run a very dedicated video package for him the night after inducting him at a fight card and allow him to drink in the very deserved standing O.
