Worst fall from the top?

Anyone saying Jones is being letting their emotions get a hold of them

Jones is still an undefeated two-division champion. His only "fall" is in the minds of fans who have always hated him.

The fact that you're even trying to put him in the same category as Barão, who went directly from winning four BW title fights in a row to finishing his career 2-9, only shows you're not interested in a proper comparison and just want to whine about Jones.
Rent free, homie.

Rashad and Koschek both ended on bad skids too.
I was going to say Koscheck. Went from a controversial SD loss to prime Hendricks to getting finished by 6 guys in a row, including Erick Silva and some Bellator random in his final fight. He's not the only WW to suddenly decline around age 35, though. Ellenberger, Woodley, Lawler and others were similar. Chuck Liddell did the same thing at LHW, except he had a single win over Wanderlei during a long losing streak.

He hasn't had a fall in terms of results in the octagon

But he has absolutely had a fall in terms of how the majority of fans view him and his legacy

Which is sad.

Don’t feel like citing my source; but I remember a post/interview/something from a few years ago made by Penn’s wife stating that he’d had trouble with substance abuse for ~25 out of the then 38 years of his life.
So while you’re not wrong, the extenuating circumstances make it significantly less surprising in retrospect.
No doubt some sad and extenuating reasons. Probably for both guys to a degree.

But they still have to be right at the top of the list, when people discuss these things. Even if some people choose other options, these guys are right at the top of the key names to be considered

Koscheck wasn't a former two weight division Champion. ;)

surprised at no mention of Tony

Gaethje ended that man’s career

#1 Barao. Went from a 29-fight win streak and P4P candidate to getting KO'ed on the prelims by guys outside of the top-15. No one else on that list has lost so badly to C- and D-tier fighters like Renan has.

#2 Necktats

#3 Moraes
He only got koed once by preliminary fighter in the UFC after the tj fight

Barao was a bad one. There were discussions at the time as to whether he was better than Aldo.
Anderson losing 7 in a row, having his leg snapped and getting caught juicing definitely tops it though.

Absolutely!
I think that they’re just sort of different categories or something.

All that said, my favorite (can’t stand him though) Conor quote was something along the lines of “get in, get rich, get out.”
He’s only really fought in the last few years when ge had a big (some more so than others) business deal to promote.

More of an aside, but a phenomenon about him that I’ve found interesting.

People has it wrong about Jones, you can't fall from any grace when for years, people have been juggling about you being a terrible ambassador of the sport, an even worst husband with the longest spreadsheet of failed drug tests and misdemeanor AND being the youngest, most gifted, most dominant champ there might ever be. So for me I'm far from conflicted about Jon Jones, he's a real POS, and he's potentially the GOAT also. Nothing as changed.
