Not the worst coach but an example of bad coaching.
James Krause
Anthony smith vs glover Texiera.
This fight was peak covid. In the apex no sound and you could hear the coach’s clearly.
Round one Anthony threw the kitchen sink at him and won pretty cleanly.
The issue I had is Krause never stopped talking kept asking for more and more and Anthony kept throwing what ever he was told. But the work rate was too high and not necessary.
He gassed as a result and got beaten badly because of it.
Also jame shouldn’t have send him out for that final round.
He ended up losing teeth.
Not a bad coach but an example when a coach asks for too much and doesn’t let his fighter work
In context, we can run a highlight reel of Anthony Smith crumbling.
He got murdered by Josh Neer FFS, think of the size difference.
For all we know James was doing the right thing because Anthony is a front runner and needs to be on the gas to get the job done.
Also consider how many times we've seen old man Glover take a beating and then take over with his grappling (see: Smith, Ion Cutelaba, Santos)
IMO on balance we've seen James Krause do plenty of fine coaching, its hard to say from this instance.
