Worst brain damage in an active ufc fighter

Also my Brazilian friend said shogun is next to impossible to understand due to his accent and brain damage.

He fought Robbie twice, got his head smashed by condit, and the competition at WW is though. It's not like his face has not been damaged already

Rory took more damage in the 2nd Robbie fight than his whole career before that.

He really doesn't get hit a lot, other than in that fight.

Diego was brain damaged when they started filming TUF 1.

And he has taken a lot of beatings since then.

Former UFC fighter Fabio Maldonado due to Glover Teixiera

I don't think many active fighters show bad signs, but former fighters like Gary Goodridge are fucked up unfortunately.

Goodridge took some brutal damage in his kickboxing bouts. I don't know that anybody has ended up like that just from competing in MMA. What makes it all a bit uncertain is that it's such a young sport--no MMA fighter has even hit sixty yet. I'll be curious to see what Diego Sanchez is like in a few decades.

JDS has some damage at least... the Cain fight was horrible.

Plus he has had time to heal.Fighting before your brain has healed is worse than just being in war.

Nick Diaz. That boy can't get right

Gray Maynard. I went to a seminar he put on almost 2 years ago. He was stammering the whole time and would forget the move he was teaching in the middle of teaching it. It was very awkward

Terribly sorry to hear that about Maynard. I'd be sorry to hear it about anyone but Maynard was really an above average fighter.

There is a shit ton of them that have serious brain damage. It's going to look ugly in 20 years. You are no better off in mma than boxing. It's a combat sport where you get hit in the head. Not good for your health.

JDS has taken hundreds and hundreds of significant strikes to the head in his last few fights. He took 56 from 265lb+ Rothwell IIRC. He is not the same that he was before Velasquez.

Ronda Rousey has brain damage from having her umbilical cord strangling her when she was born. Holly Holm certainly didn't help either.

Struve should have retired a couple of fights ago.

Conor must have brain damage to have such massive sense of self importance and entitlement

He actually thinks he's special

Diego Sanchez is the clear answer. Retired is Chuck Liddell. Mayhem Miller is damaged from drug use rather than fighting most likely.

Pains me to say it but he brought it on himself. Refused to accept his decline. The Nate Diaz ko was a dead giveaway.

He's active and he's on a winning streak too!
Prior to the Miller fight, Diego legitimately lost seven fights in a row-- to Kampmann (literally one of the worst decisions I've ever seen in my life), Ellenberger, Gomi (robbery), Melendez, Myles Jury, Ross Pearson (also literally one of the worst decisions I've ever seen), and Lamas. He realistically is 2-8 in the past six years, and definitely would have been cut already if he wasn't from TUF1.
