Woodley says he is ready to possibly fight in July

Nothing official but Tyron Woodley just said on the UFC post-fight show that he is ready to fight in July, possibly on the UFC 226 card.

Of course he called out GSP. I would love to see Tyron/RDA but if GSP agrees to return then that fight would likely happen first. If GSP does not accept the fight, then I expect Woodley vs RDA to be booked.

More likely Tyron vs Dos Anjos no way they get anything ironed out with GSP & team for a fight like that for this summer? Coward Covington better take a fight behind him before he takes another step forward a tired, gassed, 40yr old fighter, fought to a decision is hardly a ticket to a belt.

Yep.

He had a partial tear of his labrum (shoulder) in the Maia fight. After GSP made it clear he is not returning, Woodley went ahead and got the surgery.

Plus, it benefitted Tyron to wait for another big card to co-main on. DC and Stipe will be a big card. I hate how he fights lately but Woodley is smart about his $$$$ and business decisions

RDA has that constant forward pressure. He mixes up punches and kicks so well. Woodley will have his back to the fence and will be overwhelmed with strikes coming from all angles.

I still think UFC 224 will do better numbers than UFC 226. There is no real bad blood, history, rivalry, fuck ups between Stipe and DC.
