Women just don’t get it sometimes

I met this chick in the trainers office in high school. She was rehabbing an ankle or knee injury for soccer and I had badly dislocated my shoulder playing football.

Dating a girl who loves sports was like living life on easy mode. We would "watch football games" together, talk about sports experiences. That was back in 1995. She was far and away the easiest girl to talk to that I had ever met


Our 12 year old daughter made the Olympic Development regional soccer team this year, as a defensive center midfielder, making her one of the top 64 kids in the country for her age and top 16-20 or so at her position.

It's nice being married to a woman that likes sports. She never gives me shit about watching fights, and it certainly doesn't bother me that she likes to watch sports.

yea gals don't get it but sometimes I think they're just trying to be intentionally contrarian for their own agenda.

this movie is stupid. read: "Wouldn't you rather be having sex with me right now? Or at least buying me something to show your devotion?"

most women hate to be ignored for something temporaneous like a sporting event.

a man's logic would suggest 'well, if I show interest or at least deference to her viewing, she'll do the same.'

dem hormones. women are wonderfully complex, intriguing and hopefully alluring creatures. but they don't think like we do and therein lies the conundrum.
 
To be perfectly honest, Miracle is a pretty corny movie. It’s not too corny. But it is corny.

My wife enjoyed it though.
 
Well, it IS cheesy.

The reason women react like this is because historically women never really had to work together. They'd work "together" but more like being alone together, no cooperation needed. Women are also awful to one other as part of sexual competition; they literally engage in psychological warfare to destroy their rivals' social standing and confidence, but that's a topic for another day. Meanwhile, the men had to go hunt big game, go to war with other nations, and overall be in situations where true cooperation was needed and necessary for survival. Team sports are basically an emulation of those situations, but in a safe environment. So men "get it" but women may not necessarily, it's not part of their experience. It's not like they're going to go with a group of women to hunt buffalo, and if that happened the other women would just spend the entire time bitching that Suzie has an ugly haircut and OMG I don't get what Jake sees in her. They'd be at each other's throats before the buffalo even had the chance to be dead. Women have their own problems. It is what it is.

Went to a diner, and one dude was working on the grill while 4 chicks were just bullshitting away. Every order was late and the dude blew up and stormed out because no one was helping.

Whenever I see the ladies yapping away at work and work needs to be done I just ask for help. They were wrong for not helping, but the guy was wrong for not asking for help.
