Woman tells man on subway to stop manspreading, gets punched in the face

Well, NYC won't be on my list for future vacation considerations. I don't want to contribute to the local economy of a city that lets lowlifes hit women for no good god damned reason.
i'm not suggesting there is nothing to see and do, but its the most overrated city in the world anyway, it would be no big loss for you

Dafuq? The lesson should be tolerate rudeness in public spaces because you might be assaulted? No, no that probably shouldn't be the takeaway here.

The term is stupid, but it IS something people do on public transit, and it's rude. You should be able to ask someone not to be rude in a public space without getting attacked. That's just stupid.
Did I say I condone it?
No.
I did suggest it was borrowing trouble however

Eurghh i fucking hate anyone who adds the word man before random words to make it a thing...mansplaining, manspreading etc.
These words are so fucking patronising and meaningless, you know that anyone who uses them is just an arsehole.

This city really needs to install the fat-shaming seats like they have in the London Underground.

I’ve never in my life seen a guy sit in public with their legs that spread apart.

Everybody gets so dreamy when they think of living and working in New York but this is a part of life there. Substance abuse and mental illness and homelessness is worse than many people are aware of and if you are dumb enough to challenge those people instead of just moving away... I'm not suggesting she deserved it but sometimes you just have to shut your mouth, ignore or avoid it.
Lol she must be one of those transplants that have no street smarts whatsoever.

Who the hell actually engages with one of the subway crazies? Lmao.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure the feminist bull dykes over at Buzzfeed just invent this shit up and it takes off because Yahoo and every other liberal news source picks up on it.

That works 98.3% of the time if you get into a heated argument, put on a Gi and give one to your would be opponent and they always stop

But then you have to carry around two gis at all times. It’s easier just to let bitches get raped.

I get what you're saying. Just saying the goal should be to make it so public spaces are safe.

Everybody can agree on that.
I don't think it can be avoided. Some people who can't take criticism resort to violence.

Yes, it is stupid. And some people are fucking crazy, we know and always have. If you have a confrontation with someone unknown, you quite literally don't know who you're fucking with. There's an x>0% chance that he/she is a nutjob. This (presumably) is why most people just sit there and tolerate rudeness.

do women not know that men have balls? thats why we have a wide stance when we sit. how can they not understand that ? They probably know and are just being passive aggressive.

That sentence just sounds weird. Like they both put on a gi, shook hands, and started grappling like in a tournament. Is it just me?

Also, no shortage of scumbags in the world.
One guy just grabs the other guy and forefully removes him from the situation is all I pictured.

An altercation without any punches thrown, minus the first one obviously.

Yeah I've taken public transport before. It's dangerous everywhere. Ive almost gotten in fights with crackheads before bexbeca they have their bags and shit taking up space during rush hour.
