the officer placed himself in front of her car, and even moved towards it, draws his weapon and fires as she drives by. he killed her, making him a criminal. again, we HAVE to hold LEO accountable for their escalations and unnecessary violence. they all acted like thugs because they were pissed off.

Lawful but awful. He was clearly in fear of great bodily harm. Why did she zoom off like that? Furthermore, from a Minnesota law perspective the totality of the situation is to be taken in account. There is obvious hostility and there has been violence against ICE near daily in Minnesota.

I still think shooting was worst case scenario. A moving car with no driver in control is a serious danger. Take the bump and arrest her after and put her in prison. Of course the corrupt judges would probably set her free. Blue states are corrupt, chaotic and absolutely dangerous for everyone.

It's mind boggling to me how many people don't understand this. It's based on officer’s perspective if there is a reasonable expectation that he could have interpreted the vehicle a threat at that moment. Thats why most of the time excessive police force cases will end up in the officers favor because it doesn't mean shit what you believe he could have done in theory playing a video back or because of what you think some generic language in a statue means. Heck I think she didn't try to hit him but my opinion doesn't mean jack shit and her actual intentions doesn't mean jack shit. If officer thinks you are a threat when trying to flee thats usually in their favor.
